2016 Global ConNEXTions

What is Global ConNEXTions?

GC is a two-day interactive event and experience that connects AIMers,

church members, young adults/couples, pastors, ministers and others who
have a burden for Global Missions with opportunities to serve globally.

When?

GC 2016 is scheduled for October 21-22, 2016. A special training session

for AIM and those interested in AIM will take place October 20 (arrival) and
throughout the day on October 21, 2016.

Where?

The venue for GC 2016 is New Life Center, 11570 Mark Twain Lane,
Bridgeton, Missouri 63044.

What is the Purpose?

We help students, hyphens, young marrieds, mid-lifers, and beyond Discover,
Prepare, and Go. This ministry is pivotal in recruiting for all that want to be
involved in global missions.

Who is Invited?

This experience targets those who have a burden for Global Missions
service or are asking God about developing a burden for Global Missions
service. Those who participated in Apostolic Youth Corps, Youth on
Mission, Next Steps and church missions trips would find this experience
to be very edifying. Pastors and church leaders who want to develop a
greater missions emphasis in their local church will find this experience
inspiring and informational.
Individuals and families considering applying for AIM and those approved
for AIM should definitely attend. Friday morning and afternoon involves
structured missions training for those preparing for overseas service.
Instructors are experienced missionaries who will provide you the
knowledge, information, and confidence needed to do your best for the
Lord on the field. The training also includes practical sessions on
managing a missions budget, fundraising, marketing and
communications.

Why is Global Missions Sponsoring this Event?

Over the last few years, Global Missions has noticed a growing burden
among leaders and constituents of the UPCI for Global Missions through
prayer, giving, and on the field service. The need continues to grow as we
in turn desire more AIMers and missionaries dedicated to serving
overseas.

People want to be involved in missions but dont always know how to

personally get started. Global ConNEXTions will educate you on current
needs and opportunities on the field, will provide information on how to
personally become involved and will connect you with missionaries, and
missions leadership who can assist you in responding to your burden.

What is the Schedule of Events?

A detailed schedule will follow but below is a preliminary outline of events:

o Thursday night, October 20 Suggested Arrival for AIMers and AIM
applicants
o Friday Morning and Afternoon, October 21 specialized AIM training
by experienced missionaries. This will be held at World Evangelism
Center.
Friday evening Missions Focus Inspiration Service New Life
Center, Bridgeton. Special speaker, Bruce A. Howell and
international music.

o Saturday, October 22 Missions Experience time to explore

missions displays and cultural exhibits
Sessions on Discover, Prepare, Go. There is a consideration for
breakout sessions for those that have already been involved
in missions. We are also considering age related sessions for
children, youth, hyphens, and so forth. Topics to be
announced later.

Lunch with a missionary enjoy lunch with a small group at a

table with a veteran missionary. Feel free to ask anything.
Suggested questions will be provided to break the ice (if
needed). You sign up for your first and second choice of
region.
Prayer for the Nations A time of focused prayer where needs
specific to each region will be shared followed by led prayer
from an AIMer or participant.
Saturday afternoon will close out with a special service
focused on responding to the call of missions.
