Speakers:

The 6th Nursing Conference is a three day event, with the

first two days exploring transcultural understanding as a
major challenge in the nursing profession. Awareness of
patients needs and expectations based on culture is especially
important in a world where patients move across borders for
employment, treatment or leisure. There is no doubt then that
improving understanding of the importance of culture will
in turn positively impact the quality of services and patient
outcomes. The third day of the conference will focus on nurses
as agents of change in clinical practice. The days sessions will
emphasise case studies showing what happens when decisionmaking is placed in the hands of people who work at the
bedside and know how patient care is delivered.
