The principle point of this assignment is to extract the employable aptitudes and

abilities that I have, assess and dissect them and to improve the abilities that
requests for development to hold a position in field of Engineering. Based on
experience, knowledge and skills base that are provided to opt out for this
assignment, I have picked three abilities which I am more accustomed with:
Planning and sorting out, Effective correspondence and Team Player.

Primarily, I am a good planner and organizer. To hold this statement, I have many past
experiences when I am doing my undergraduate level. I have organized a cultural fest
at my undergraduate level with a team of 25 people in which, I am the Personal
relations head, my duties are to allot rooms to the tourists, provide accommodation and
food, making them aware of the time schedules regarding the fest and be with them till
the time they leave the fest after completion of the event. I have successfully finished
all my works with utmost care without spoiling any small tasks that are assigned to me;
the reason for this task completed perfectly is due to a perfect planning and organizing.
Even when I work on my project for my course, I do plan them far ahead of the due
date in order to avoid any unexpected problems.

Secondly, I am an impressive communicator. Impressive communication is not just

interaction between two individuals, it is a union of several skills: non-verbal
communications, managing stress levels at all situations, engaged listening,
capacity to engage and understand self and others emotions. I have these skills and
I keep on enhancing them daily on a routine basis. As my part time work involves
more customer interaction, I need to think the situations before speaking, catch the
mood the customer is in and provide the best service that is possible to me. The

same situation relates to my field of engineering, when speaking to a client in

company meetings or learning new things at training or from senior officials.
While I am working on assignments, I do have advice from my seniors, professors
and my group mates, listen to them, covey my opinion on the topic, analyze and
finalize which helps me very easy to understand and work on my assignments.

Thirdly, I am a good team player. I used to have a different opinion of working in

groups until I started working in groups at ECU for assignments, These group
assignments helped me a lot in changing my attitude towards team work. In teams
we share various ideas for one topic and understanding the topic in depth. From
then onwards I work more in groups, I will always contribute to group how much I
can, help the group mates, communicating to each other and know their feelings,
ideas and problem solving strategies to attain effectiveness in group.

From this Engineering Management unit I have learned about team work,
presentations, industry policies, planning, organizing, controlling, marketing,
managing accounts, engineer policies. Investigate organizational methodologies for
management for control and clash inside associations. Apply fitting devices
Furthermore strategies to deal with a medium scale building project.
