Robust bronze IR Pellet Sensor

with adaptive feeding control
Correct feeding is key to achieving excellent fish farming
results. Connected to the AkvaMarina CCS Feed System,
Adaptive feeding ramps the feeding rates
up and down to match fish appetite and
provides lower FCR and production costs.

this sensor is suitable for automatic feeding of fish to

satiation in smaller cages. Both the feed rate and feed
amount is adapted to fish appetite. This ensures that the
fish get the correct amount of feed, at the right rate and
at the right time. The sensor is installed in the bottom of
a pellet collector funnel, below the fish main eating area
in the cages and uses Infra-Red single beam optics to spot
uneaten pellets. The system is fully integrated with the
AkvaMarina CCS Feed System so that all settings are
carried out through the AkvaControl software.

The pellets are funnelled through the

opening of the IR Pellet Sensor and are
detected and counted by the Infra-Red
beam!
