Please note.

EPQ-Care is the ICT vehicle that facilitates the Komtrax Plus data
being available to be presented / evaluated for customers and staff.
The screen shots from within the Komtrax Plus system in this
presentation are based on a respective Komatsu haul vehicle
(equipped with Komtrax Plus).

Komatsu Limited reserve the right to change or modify the

Komtrax Plus System and hence the subsequent screen content
and imagery without notice and any time.

Different machine models may / will contain different content and

detail with respect to the model variant.

EQP-CARE Overview
1. Working data of machines is sent via Orbcomm satellites.
Summary data is sent every 20 working hours.
2. When you conduct a manual download you can get detailed
data for each cycle. Ask your Komatsu DB for software and
cable for manual downloads.

1. Stop:
Stop time is simply counted when "Shift lever is N or vehicle speed < 1km/h are kept more than 1 second."
-> So it is difficult to know why the vehicle is stopping ( cigarette time or talking or coffee with engine idling or waiting or etc.)
2. Loading: it is from start of loading till finish of 160m continuous run from loading area.
3. Loaded:
4. Empty:

it is from 160m run till finish of dumping at crusher.

it is from finish of dumping till start of loading.

Therefore, the meaning of each column is:

Loading stop: Inside loading area, after first loading, when shift lever is N or move slower
than 1km/h till moving 160m

Consult with your Komatsu DB

for changing the setting trigger
(if required).
The setting range is 0 ~ 255m.

Therefore, waiting for loader to load first load is not in this section.
If operator talks after loading complete, it is counted in this section.
Loaded stop: From 160m away from loading area and till dumping finish at crusher,
when shift lever is N or move slower than 1km/h till moving 160m
-> Stop during hauling on the road, stop at crossing or waiting at crusher to dump
or coffee or lunch break with loaded condition with engine idling, it count this section
Empty stop:

After emptying body at crusher till loader dumps first load in dump body,
when shift lever is N or move slower than 1km/h till moving 160m
-> If truck stops at crusher after finished dumping material, or stop at cross section or on the road
or coffee, lunch break with empty body with engine idling or waiting for the loader to load first bucket

Therefore, it is not possible to understand "stop" time as "waiting" time.

Speed limit on Payload meter

The default speed is set at 99.0 km/h. Consult with your Komatsu DB to
change the setting if required. The PLM system will count how many times
the unit runs faster than the set speed limit.
Note: This is not a speed limiting device for the truck itself

You can put serial number (e.g. 123xxxx) or Fleet number (e.g. K01, K11) etc.

You can put operator number, loaded material number, etc

X
General Legend
Red Indicates abnormal operating area
White Indicates Normal Operation
Grey Indicates Protected area
(Not allowed by controller)

Zone Legend (for more info, also move to next slide)

Green, A & B: Calculation case is a Non-full stop and shifting from F to R or R to F.
- Transmission detects machine speed more than 4 km/h.
Blue, C & D:
Calculation case is neutral coasting.
- This abnormal operation may damage T/M component & reduce clutch /
disc life. If there are several counts in Red Zone, confirm operating
conditions, assess operators practices.
Red, X:
T/M shifting down in foot braking.

T/m Sift Change Map - Zone Legend (additional information)

A. From Forward (F1, F2) to reverse (R1, R2): the Controller checks the forward speed and if it is
too fast, it will not engage clutch and the unit must wait until the speed reduces <4km.
When the shift lever is in D range and is changed to reverse F2 F1 or F2 R2 happens.
B. From Reverse movement to Forward movement, clutch will engage quickly (for safety
in case reversing at an edge [ e.g. bench / cliff ] and if something happens and operator
wants to go Forward immediately to escape from the potential dangerous situation.)
C. Forward (F3 ~ F7) to N: it must be coasting motion (driving fast with shift in Neutral),
this is not good for lubrication. Engine RPM is too low (i.e. idling) and nor enough oil lubrication
is supplied to T/C T/M. Note: coasting in N also induces poor oil flow cooling i.e. when retarding.
D. From Neutral (engine low idling) to high speed engaging clutch. Controller will find the best shift
position and engage clutch. However, sudden engaging of clutch will reduce clutch life.

X. T/M shift down in foot braking keeps the shift until the vehicle stops, after that, T/M shift to F1 or F2
based upon shift lever position or shift to the adequate speed range in foot braking ON to OFF.
The purpose to hold the shift in foot braking is to reduce shift change shock, and reduce clutch
engagement numbers.
