GPRS/3G/4G GSM modem RS232/RS485 wireless DTU applied in

wind farms remote maintenance system

Under energy crisis and environmental pollution dual background, wind power as a
clean, new renewable energy, has become a key support areas and development of
governments. Due to complicated Wind turbine structure and variety operating
parameters, it is necessary to establish a comprehensive monitoring system platform, to
do realtime monitoring wind farm operating environment and analysis for the wind
turbines operating state and power quality parameters.
Caimore GPR/3G/4G GSM modem RS232 RS485 wireless DTU can effectively reduce
the maintenance cost and improve the work efficiency. The system of wind farms
remote manitencance is consist of three parts: field devices, remote monitoring
terminal and monitoring center.
1. Field device
Caimore GPRS/3G/4G DTU will gather mulitple type data from the wind farms devcie
to implement extract the monitoring data from power PLC, and update the PLCs
parameter; the meteorological data from anemometer tower will be transfer to
monitoring center via RS232/RS485/IO port, monitroing center also can send the
control command by serial port to DTU in order to control the field device.

2. Monitoring center
It is consisting of application server, engineering station, database server
maintenance terminal, alarm monitoring terminal and so on.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------All the monitoring data from wind farm are transfered by Caimore GPRS/3G/4G
DTU to the server database and storted in; meanwhilethe server database will provide
the monitoring center or remote end user with data analysis and other service by
wireless network, and monitor the central device and software management mode.
By monitoring the maintenance terminal for remote wind farm equipment
maintenance and realtime monitoring, to achieve 24hour realtime alarm monitoring
and alarm signal broadcast.
3.Remote monitoring terminal
There are remote monitoring terminal, mobile alarm terminal and remote fault
diagnosis terminal.
The monitoring center will bulid up a connection with field deivce via Caimore
GPRS/3G/4G DTU to be completed remote analysis and monitoring the wand farm.
Once there is a fault, the system will send the SMS message for the maintenance
personal, in order to handling and maintenance in time. Whats more, Caimore
GPRS/3G/4G DTU support multiple center connection, it can send the data to the
monitoring center or mobile terminal to realize multiple center synchronous monitoring.
This system is no wiring based on the wireless network (GPRS/3G/4G), will greatly
improve the efficiency & the security of data transmission, have no geographic
restrictions, low cost on maintaenance and promotion.
