GOD

Knows
Best!!!

1 Corinthians 2:9-12
That is what the Scriptures mean when they
say, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and
no mind has imagined what God has prepared
for those who love him." 10 But it was to us that
God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his
Spirit searches out everything and shows us
God's deep secrets.

No one can know a person's thoughts

except that person's own spirit, and no
one can know God's thoughts except
God's own Spirit. 12 And we have
received God's Spirit (not the world's
spirit), so we can know the wonderful
things God has freely given us.

1 Corinthians 2:11-12

Matthew 2:1-2
1Jesus

was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during

the reign of King Herod. About that time some
wise men from eastern lands arrived in
Jerusalem, asking, 2 "Where is the newborn
king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose,
and we have come to worship him."

Luke 2:8-11
8 That

night there were shepherds staying in

the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of
sheep. 9 Suddenly, an angel of the Lord
appeared among them, and the radiance
of the Lords glory surrounded them. They
were terrified,

10 but

the angel reassured them. Dont

be afraid! he said. I bring you good
news that will bring great joy to all
people. 11 The Savioryes, the
Messiah, the Lordhas been born
today in Bethlehem, the city of David!

Luke 2:10-11

Matthew 2:3-6
3 King

Herod was deeply disturbed when

he heard this, as was everyone in
Jerusalem. 4 He called a meeting of the
leading priests and teachers of religious
law and asked, "Where is the Messiah
supposed to be born?"

"In Bethlehem in Judea," they said, "for

this is what the prophet wrote: 6 'And
you, O Bethlehem in the land of Judah,
are not least among the ruling cities of
Judah, for a ruler will come from you
who will be the shepherd for my people
Israel.'

Matthew 2:5-6

Matthew 2:7-8
Then Herod called for a private meeting
with the wise men, and he learned from
them the time when the star first appeared.
8 Then he told them, "Go to Bethlehem and
search carefully for the child. And when you
find him, come back and tell me so that I
can go and worship him, too!"
7

Matthew 2:9-11
9 After

this interview the wise men went their

way. And the star they had seen in the east
guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of
them and stopped over the place where the
child was. 10 When they saw the star, they
were filled with joy!

They entered the house and saw

the child with his mother, Mary, and
they bowed down and worshiped
him. Then they opened their treasure
chests and gave him gifts of gold,
frankincense, and myrrh.

Hebrew 11:1
Faith is the confidence that what we
hope for will actually happen; it gives
us assurance about things we cannot
see.

Hebrew 11:6
And it is impossible to please God
without faith. Anyone who wants to
come to him must believe that God
exists and that he rewards those who
sincerely seek him.

John 16:13
When the Spirit of truth comes, he
will guide you into all truth. He will
not speak on his own but will tell
you what he has heard. He will tell
you about the future.

James 1:6-8
But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is
in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with
divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the
sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such
people should not expect to receive anything
from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between
God and the world, and they are unstable in
everything they do.

1 Peter 1:6-7
So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even
though you have to endure many trials for a little
while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine.
It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold-though
your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So
when your faith remains strong through many trials, it
will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the
day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

While he was eating, a woman came in
with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive
perfume and poured it over his head. 8 The
disciples were indignant when they saw
this. "What a waste of money," they said. 9
"It could have been sold for a high price
and the money given to the poor."
