First and foremost, we would like to thank Allah Almighty for giving us the strength and
endowing us with the privilege of completing the report of COMPUTER APPLICATION ON
BUSINESS II.
The topic of our report is to study the role of IT department of the organization. During our
Report, we had to face some difficulties as information which was not readily available and we
had to go in depth to find out regarding it.
Furthermore, we would like to acknowledge our teacher, Sir Muizz Alam Khan, for guiding and
providing useful information about the CAB II course. We would like to thank Kapray and Mr.
Haziq for answering our queries. It is due to our teachers guidance and hard work that we have
been able to achieve this task. Working for this report was an exhilarating experience and would
help us tremendously to ascend in our future to solve these type of issues.

KAPRAY

Kapray launched its first flagship store at Dolmen Mall, Clifton Karachi. Kapray is Pakistans
first fast fashion brand that offers fashionable clothing at a great price and amazing quality. It is a
unit of Al-Rahim Textiles
Al-Rahim is a leading home textile manufacturer and exporter from Pakistan with a modern,
state of the art plant & machinery to produce quality products- towels, bedding and kitchen
linens.
They are going to launch 6 more outlets in Pakistan by the middle of December 2015 and they
will have total of 26 outlets by the end of June 2016.

IT DEPARTMENT

IT department plays a very important role in running this organization. As this is a modern
organization and they have implemented Microsoft dynamics ax12. Implementation of ERP was
a really big challenge for Kapray as they face many problems in start in which training was the
main problem for the employees but they overcame their problems and now each and every
transaction is done automatically by the help of ERP.
They are currently focussing on launching their website. They plan to make a great system by
combining there ERP, E-Commerce and retail outlets. As soon as a person makes order on
website, website will automatically generates the order and let the rider know from where he has
to pick up the parcel and where to deliver. ERP records the transaction as well
The benefits which Kapray enjoys because of their ERP are:

ERP

Kaprays ERP name is Micro dynamics ax12. It is the worlds third best ERP system after SAP
and Oracle. It is implemented from the first day by Maison consultant services. As the company
does not have separate CRM system but their ERP has some applications of CRM and kapray
utilizes those applications.

1. Microsoft dynamics ax12 helps them in production planning

2. It helps them to maintain accounting and finance


3. It helps in sales distribution and order management
4. By implementing ERP their product costs are lower than their competitors and they enjoy
profits and delivers quality product at a low price to its customers.

CRM

1. They dont have a different CRM system but they do have some applications of CRM
within their ERP system.
2. It helps in maintaining users account, as a person makes his 1st purchase he will become
member of kapray and will get loyalty card that he will get 10% discount on his future
purchases and as soon as his purchases reaches 100,000 he will start getting 15%
discount and as soon as his purchases reaches 200,000 he will start getting 20% discount
on his future purchases.

3. After making purchases a person automatically gets a thank you message of his
cellphone number.
4. It also helps in customer service and support as they make promotions through different
means of marketing, call centers is one of them.

They will start taking online orders in the end of this month.
They will be targeting local market as well as international market with their website

What they have planned is they will be serving major cities of Pakistan online. They are
going to take only 60 minutes of time to deliver goods at your door steps.
What they are going to do is they are going to let the rider know from where he is going
to pick the goods and from where he needs to deliver as soon as the order is punched.
They will be using their retail outlets as their warehouses. Their logistics partner is blue
cord.
They are planning to open 6 more retail outlets by the middle of December 2015 and they
plan to have around 26 outlets at the end of June 2016.

SOCIAL MEDIA

They have a social media presence on Facebook and Instagram. They are basically
marketing through social media and have over 245,000+ followers on Facebook.

CONCLUSION

The textile company "kapray" which has been recently launched has already managed to handle
a lot of the initial difficulties that every organization faces with the help of its ERP and helps
them aim to facilitate even better.
As most probably in the coming year kapray will be combining their ERP, retail outlets and ecommerce, which will not just maximize their revenue but also help them be more effective
along with being efficient.
