Introducing the LucidHelix Ter-
rier Series 450Q device. This rack
mountable diagnostic device was
designed from the ground up to
deliver unparalleled monitoring and
analysis capabilities to cable net-
works. The Terrier 450Q provides
digital cable networks the ability
to simultaneously capture, ana-
lyze, and export MPEG-2 transport
streams from multiple distinct QAM
and Ethernet sources.
The Terrier’s ability to monitor and
capture massive transport streams
for offline analysis in a number of
compatible analysis programs can
help you deploy, monitor, and test
switched digital video (SDV).
It is easy to connect the Terrier to
any MPEG-2 device on your net-
work, like an encoder, modulator,
or video server. Once connected
to the Terrier you can compare the
incoming and outgoing transport
streams to determine where fail-
ures are occurring and accelerate
vendor resolution time.
