Design the chance to expand its reach to its target audience, as
well as to serve its existing members and loyalists in a far more
effective manner. KarmaTech Web Design has successfully
helped to design and implement web sites for many clients
worldwide. We therefore propose to provide Trude Fashion

KarmaTech Web Design is a company in Zimbabwe which is
specialising in website designs and application development for
both mobile and desktop computers. Our development team
consists of well qualified four engineers and seven

2.0 - OVERVIEW : CLIENT INFORMATION

The purpose of this project is to provide a complete design and
development of a fully functional online fashion designs store
that will interface sales of fashion designs between fashion
designers and the customers (who are primarily tailors or
garment constructors). This website will feature all necessary
functions and services. The website will allow designers of
fashion to sell their designs online so that customers or tailors
will have access to these designs. Other designers will also
obtain knowledge from the designs which will be posted by
others and this will create opportunities for them to come up
with new creative designs also.
The design will be highly effective so as to create a professional
environment and confidence to users of the website. We will
assure that users have a simple and a smooth experience. In
our design we are going to use major web technologies such as
HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript. However, the main aim of this
proposal is to determine accurate time and budget estimates
and to give a rough picture of what the final website will look
like.
Preliminary discovery and Investigation stage
At this stage we will gather requirements specifications of
the project.
We will establish a reasonable time frame for the Trude
fashion designs store website to be completed.
We will also consider the company budget.
Lastly we will determine the final and full scope of the
project.

constructors and retailers. It has locations in Zimbabwe and

South Africa, has a fledgling website used for merchandising
and retail purposes, and is looking to expand to the global
market.
From the above, it is easy to gather that your company has the
need to expand to a more global market presence, and as such
has a need for an overhaul of the existing website so as to have
your website redesigned to give it a fresh new look ensure
existing customers are kept, and new ones are converted. The
redesign should include a way for customers to contact the
company and a way to find locations. This is what we will
provide, and much more.
4.0 - PURPOSE
The purpose of this mini-site is to develop a valuable set of
information sources that provides potential customers and
visitors to the site with information and news about Trude
Fashion Designs and your products (and building synergy with
your brand). This website will also serve as a store locator
(serving to inform visitors to the site where your points of sale
are physically located, thus helping generate revenue) and is
itself a point of sale, as it functions as an online store for the
catalogue shown on its site gallery.
5.0 - TARGET AUDIENCE
The target demographic the website is primarily clothing and
fashion retail outlets located in Southern Africa, and ideally
increasingly globally as market share increases.

Back End
Secure back-end access will be accomplished through a login
process. All pages within the secure area will be locked to
authorised usage. Three levels of access are defined for this
purpose:
Level 0 - secure client access to data made available to
extranet clients;
Level 1 secure access for clerical entry of statistical entry
etc., and;
Level 2 secure access for administrative purposes including
security and approval of candidate entries on the website.
Information posted to the website will be given unpublished
status until authorised by a senior administrator.

9.0 - WEB APPLICATION

Web Log, FAQ List and Contact Us Form
Chances are that your website is in real need of a help center
section, with information to support your users such as contact
info and frequently asked/answered questions. We will put
togethera user-friendly application for your website users that
is based upon an easy-to-customize template to build the FAQ
upon. Its responsive, powered by CSS (and possibly jQuery,

Day 3-4
The developer has determined a precise project specification
for the entire website and presents it to you for approval.
Deliverable: Project Specification & Proposal is provided to
you for approval Client either approves the Project
Specification or provides feedback on the Project
Specification to request revisions.

Stage 3 Website Production & Implementation
Day 4-5
The developer provides a complete list of all required
content, which needs to be provided by you.
Deliverable: A complete list of required content. Developer
begins design development. Developer presents sample
designs for review by you.
Deliverable: First sample designs. You will have to either
approve one of the design samples or provide feedback for
revisions and adjustments to design. You provide any
relevant graphics and content.
Deliverable: All website content including relevant
pictures, text, contacts, etc. Developers develop the
website. During this time there will be deliverables for
development and periodic sign-off by you.
Deliverable: Complete website and approval to begin
testing
Stage 4 Testing
Days 6-8
Developer will test all aspects of the project, including
Quality Assurance testing for functionality, spelling and
grammatical errors, consistency of graphics, and technical
specifications. Alpha Testing and Beta Testing (Staging) will
occur, where we begin internal testing of application
functionality, bugs are systematically reported and fixed, and
we validate the content and finalize the live project with

review by you, with reports of any bugs, sign-off on fixes, and

final approval for site launch. During this time, you may
request some revisions and tweaking, which will be

Stage 5 Site Launch and Phase Out

KarmaTech will then register domain and set up ftp access.
The website will be posted live on the server and any final
testing and tweaking will be completed. The project will be
signed off by you.

Client shall pay KarmaTech Web Design initiation payment

equal to 50% of the project total cost.
Project is to be completed within 2 months from initiation
payment date.
Payment terms are net thirty (30) days from the date of invoice
initiation. Any amounts not paid within the thirty (30) days shall
be charged an interest fee of 1-1/2% for each month (or portion
thereof) any such payment is late.

14.0 - MAINTENANCE
The maintenance of your website is going to include the use of
the aforementioned online support documents (see Section
6.0), and the support team provided that will need to be
retained in order to man this infrastructure. Additional support
and maintenance could include a Content Management System
(CMS) implementation, and would include advanced web
hosting specificatons.
Based on the details of the system specifications, we
recommend a maintenance plan based on a monthly retainer
that will include all necessary maintenance/update needs of the
website. We can scope out the maintenance budget upon
