Welcome to the Lgerdorf Plant

Parking of vehicles at the works is not permitted. Please use the plant car parks indicated.
A written permit is required for exceptions; this
must be displayed in the vehicle where it can be
seen clearly.
If you have been allocated a locker please lock
it and put your name plate on it. Don't forget to
remove the lock when you depart and leave the
locker clean.
You can use the company restaurant (38) for
breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks from 7:30 to
10.00am and from 11.00am to 4pm. Lunches
are available there from 12 to 1pm.

Wear the compulsory personal protective equipment whilst

working.

Ensure that all safety mechanisms are attached before operating plant and machinery.

Only perform cleaning, maintenance and repair work when plant

and machinery is at a standstill.

Secure plant and machinery from unauthorised switching on

during repair work using a padlock with name plate on the
isolating switch!

Damaged or faulty tools, devices and work equipment are to be

replaced immediately.

Work on electrical equipment may only be carried out by qualified electricians.

Keep traffic routes clear at all times and remove tripping

hazards.

Keep switchgear, fire extinguishers and escape routes clear!

Holes are to be secured so that nobody can fall in.

In store rooms where there are other rooms underneath the

permissible loads must be complied with.

Unauthorised driving of vehicles and carrying of passengers in

vehicles not authorised for this purpose is not permitted.

Observe the operating instructions for hazardous substances

according to the hazardous substance ordinance.

In the event of a Hot Meal Alarm (red flashing light) the plant
area is to be evacuated and the plant sections may not be
entered until the alarm has stopped.

Scaffolding is to be erected in accordance with the relevant

regulations and approved by Holcim.

General Regulations

The regulations below apply to the Lgerdorf plant and pit

areas. You must follow the instructions of our supervisors
and coordinators. You only have the authority to access the
allocated working areas when you work here.

Familiarise yourself with the accident prevention regulations and health & safety rules valid at the plant. These
regulations must be observed. Mr Voss (Tel. 284) and
Mr. Krohn (Tel. 275) can give you information.

Intoxicants (drugs, alcohol etc.) may not be brought onto

site or used.

Road traffic regulations apply on site. The

maximum speed is 30 km / h.

Fork lift trucks and other industrial trucks may only be

driven by persons with a valid driving licence and the authority to drive them. Earth moving machines and other similar
machines (e.g. cleaning vehicles), may also only be driven
with valid authority to drive them.

You must ensure that you have had all the required medical
examinations.

Please return vehicles that you have borrowed.

Work in the track area is to be reported to track operations

before commencement.

A permit is required before commencing earth-moving and

shaft work, hot work, disconnection of electrical plant
and work in confined spaces. Permits are issued by the
competent department e.g. Plant Planning, E-department,
Maintenance or Production.
