Standardized Diagnostic Methods
Lab, 30h, 4 ECTS
The aim of the course is to introduce students to basic types of
standardized diagnostic methods e.g. verbal and non verbal
intelligence tests; temperamental and personality inventories and
other essential methods for psychological diagnosis.
Several primary themes will be presented during the classes: the
rules of diagnostic methods construction; how to refer to the test
manual; how to apply tests to the psychological practice and how to
interpret the results.

selected technique)

Several open-ended questions concerning general testing
issues.
Literature quizzes
During the course there will be additional short quizzes (5or 6
of them) concerning knowledge of assigned literature. Make
sure to read the assigned literature before classes.
Extra credits assignments and class activity
There might be some extra credit assignments worth
additional points.
I will assess your class activity. If You participate actively in
all my classes you might expect additional point or two.

Class participation (REMINDER: over two absences = fail)

Final report (overall diagnosis) 30%

Every paper and test is scored 0-50 points
Final grades is derived from weighted mean from all
assignments
0-29 points = 2
30-34,9 points = 3
35-39,9 points = 3,5
40-43,5 points = 4
43,6-46,9 points = 4,5
47-50 points = 5
52< points = 5!

mistakes: Scoring mistakes will automatically earn you a zero for
the final report.
