Activities :
1. Pupils sing a song ( I Love My Family).
2. Teacher shows sound cards and pupils say the sounds of the
graphemes shown (/s/, /ae/, /t/, /p/, /d/, /i/, /o/ and /g/).
3. Teacher shows word cards and picture cards and pupils respond.
4. Pupils segmenting the words (dog, got, pot, mop, on, pond, dig,
top, tag).
5. In group of 10, the pupils compete to form the words given in
the word list (Word Race TB page 39).
6. The pupils take turns to form the words told by the teacher.
7. The pupils say the phonemes and the words (blending).
8. Award points to the group that finishes first.
9. The winner will be given the prize.
10. Pupils refer to the textbook page 40 & 41 (A Magic Map).
