Indonesia actually has a good quality in education but the government

does not take care. If we talk about Indonesian education, let us view from
where Indonesian education started and how the condition right now. When
in the early independence of Indonesia, only 5% people from 70 million who
could read and write. Now days in 2011, 90% Indonesian people are free
from illiterate. About teachers quality, teacher has three important roles
which are to develop good studying methods, able to be a good model for
their students and o enhance valuable research for science development. We
cannot blame the teachers completely, because the government does not
pay attention towards them. For new teachers who place in suburb area, the
need some facilities to support their work so they can be professional. But in
fact, the government only out them in that place without any consideration
so the teachers prosperity is lack. For real example, the government does
not give some accommodation to sand the teacher reaching their school.
Teacher have 21% is lower income than other qualified employees and 26%
is lower than other civil servant. Unsurprisingly, it can cause bad effect for
the students. The teachers have no spirit to teach the students well so the
quality of education is low. No competition among students. The number of
graduation us decrease. The government is too busy with political policy.
Government does not seek an opportunity in change for the better
education. Instead just stopped in a state of resignation, waits for a
competent person who will fix the education. The education in Indonesia will
be left behind it the government still does not pay attention to the quality of
citizen.
Education policy in Indonesia should be more emphasized. The rule
such as restriction on competent people who want to work in another
country, like China who implement the agreement for someone who will work
in a foreign country. The workers had to sign on stamp and capability will
return to China after studying abroad and then build their country. If the
agreement is broken, the death penalty as punishment. Indonesia as the law
country, should have its own riles as well as to regulate the working system.
We have a big question, why so many people work in abroad? We think it is a
big problem that must be solved by the government. How is the way to
restrict the employee work in abroad? We have some suggestion for the
government to keep their society work in this country. The government
should make some policies. First, the government should provide adequate

job vacancy. So if there is new graduation from university, the can get a job
easily. Without thinking to leave their country to seek a job to the abroad.
Second, to increase the employees quality in working, the government
should give an appropriate salary for them. They wont feel lack in salary,
they have felt adequate income to survive in this country. From all the point
is, the government should make some policies to keep their citizen work in
this country.
