year from UEFA for coach education activities

The UEFA Grassroots Charter


The UEFA Grassroots Charter recognises the importance
of non-professional and non-elite football
A quality mark focusing on specific aspects of
grassroots football
Fundamental requirements: basic structures, grassroots
leader training and various services for players
Regular support visits by UEFA experts (roughly 25 per
season)
Charter members receive 100,000 per year for their
grassroots activities
UEFA Grassroots Workshop from 8 to 12 April 2013 at
the Ullevaal Stadium and in the adjoining Thon Hotel in
Oslo

Course aim: to demonstrate key elements of a possible UEFA B Licence Course

Aim of the seminar

UEFA Jira Panel decision: no UEFA licence in this area for the time being
Instead: familiarisation of a first group of technical education experts with the latest
trends in this domain (achieve peak performance and support injury prevention).
Nurture the dialogue between coach educators and fitness experts
Communicate a clear and football specific message
Stimulate the associations on how to integrate relevant fitness related topics at the
various coach education levels

Four seminars took place in 2011/12 involving
all 53 UEFA member associations (pilot phase)
A total of 160 goalkeeping coach educators
attended this programme
UEFA experts Packie Bonner and Frans Hoek
were present at each seminar

Responsible for content & implementation:

Seminars will be combined with introduction of
a UEFA endorsed Goalkeeper licence
licence criteria approved by UEFA Jira Panel

Coach Education Workshop in Budapest
