INTRODUCTION

1. The play focused on the yearning for freedom and expression of the youth
(such as do drugs and all dat shit)
2. I agree on the portrayal of R and J because they embody the generation of
todays youth.

BODY

1. R represented the inner desire of our generation to express emotions

(may it be through social media or actions) and love someone
wholeheartedly with a burning passion.
a. The generation today has reshaped the meaning of love and they have
introduced new ways of expression with the use of modern devices.
b. The love portrayed by the protagonists leaned in more to their lustful
desires which gradually turned into an emotional investment. This is
the process of finding true love that the youth experience in modern
day.
2. J represented the impulsive act of our generation to maintain a socially
accepted image to be viewed by the public despite the contrasting or
different true persons that we are or want to become.
a. This was also represented through their fathers who are politicians. Rs
father, who is a traditional politician, spewed words and promises to
convince the citizens that he is worthy of their vote. Js father, on the
other hand, is an actor who ventured into the world of politics despite
the lack of knowledge about it. He used his fame as a bridge to
connecting with the citizens and showed a fake persona that
sympathized with the people.
3. Through media, news is spread faster with no regard whether the said
information is credible or not.
a. Media has become a huge part of our communication. It makes
disseminating information easier and faster but there is a higher risk of
miscommunication. False information that manipulates society can be
spread like wildfire.
b. This was clearly shown through the talkshow program with J wherein
certain clips were pre-recorded in order to manipulate the audience to
think positively and highly of her.

CONCLUSION

The play showcased only a fraction of the generation of todays youth. Our
generation is not all about drugs, false identities, lustful love and violence. There

are also those who belong in this generation whose valuesstriving to create a
change for the betterment of the society and to correct the wrongare opposing
that of the youth depicted in the play.
