Toselik Wire Rod Rolling Mill began operation in 2014. At the establishment progress we
use the advanced technology to gain stringent high quality parameters. Currently
approximately 600,000 t/a of wire rod with diameters from 5.5 mm up to 25 mm are rolled
in a continuous process.
Billets measuring 150 x150 mm square and up to 12 m in length are heated up to rolling
temperature in a walking beam furnace, descaled and rolled on a 18 strand roughing mills.
After having passed crop and chopping shears the rod enters finishing blocks two loop
lines that are reducing sizing mill and no-twist mill for thermomechanic rolling whis is used
for uniform ovality and high dimensional accuracy at high speeds. The final rolling speed
producing size of 5.5 mm is up to 120m/sec.
After passing through water cooling boxes the wire rod is layed down in loops on a roller
type air cooling conveyor by a laying head which is 100 metres long for uniform cooling and
finally formed to coils in the coil forming chamber.
