Canyon Announcements

Pray for the church in Chinandega. Pray specifically for

Erick and Cinthia. Erick and Cinthia moved to Chinandega several months ago and moved to Chinandega with
the expressed purpose of helping Pastor Frank with the
church because of the level of difficulties and obstacles
there. During these past months they have gone through
huge oppression, sicknesses, attacks, among other difficulties. They have been faithful in their task, but are really
struggling under these attacks of the enemy. Also their
business should be taking off in Chinandega with all the
leads they had but still nothing has happened.

Friendship Folders
As you pass the Friendship Folders, for prayer requests and
praise reports please also register your attendance. We simply ask you to write your name to let us know you are here.
We desire to call or email those who may be away or sick
for an extended period of time, so if you are present please
kindly indicate by writing your name. If there is no one sitting
at the end of an isle please make sure the worship guide gets
passed.

Pray for 1) Ericks business to pick up in Chinandega 2)

Erick and Cinthias trust in the Lord during this season of
sickness and financial difficulty. 3) That our team going
down there in a couple of weeks would be an encouragement to Erick and Cinthia and the rest of the believers in
the church.

In response to yesterdays text (John 4:46-54) - Are there

any areas of your Christian life where you have ignored
Gods commands? Confess that to the Lord and identify
what obedience would look like. Additionally, praise the
Lord for the confidence that you can have knowing, that as
a believer, you no longer need to fear the finality of death.

God Has Spoken

Imagine a world in which God was forever silent. Imagine
if, after The Fall in Gen 3, God retreated to the sanctity
of solitude and left the human race to rot in our sin. He
would have been just to do so. But instead, he came to
Adam and Eve, knowing they had sinned, and spoke
to them of grace and salvation to come (Gen 3:15). And
since that day, He has given us a multitude of words and
sentences and book upon book in the Bible, all sparkling
with the shimmer of his supremacy. By giving us Scripture, he has given us an innumerable and inexhaustible
wealth of treasure in which we behold his glory and
are transformed (2 Cor 3:18). How wonderful that, when
he could have left us in silence, he has instead spoken
words of grace to us. Let us listen with the ears of a
child, so grateful for his fathers attention.

Tuesday

Thursday

Bible Reading: Mark 11:12-26; 2 Corinthians 5; Psalm 100; 1 Sam 14

Bible Reading: Mark 12:1-12; 2 Corinthians 7; Psalm 102; 1 Sam 17-18

Mark 11:24 calls us to pray with belief. God doesnt want us to

pray with doubt, assuming that they wont be answered. To
be careful, this doesnt mean that we simply get whatever our
sinful passions want. This shows the importance of praying
according to Gods will. As we pray confidently about what
He prizes for us in Scripture we can be assured of His faithful response. He may answer in a different way, but He will
answer what is best for us. For this reason it is good to pray
through Scriptures when we come before the Lord. There is
no better way to pray His will than to pray His word - and to
do so with belief.

Infinite Building
Kings of old have left grand stone monuments upon the
earth. Their life works have been built as statues and tributes which stand throughout earths ages as a testimony to
their lives. Their physical work of building will outlast their
lives, but time deteriorates its wonder and weakens it to
crumble and fall. However, the Christian who builds with
materials which are imperishable leaves impressions of
grace upon the souls of others which will never crumble.
Your edifying words, encouragements, and acts of unselfish love which build up your brother or sister become
an imperishable expression of your lifes work. We build,
not with stone and granite, but with soul and truth, with
materials more sure to last. These works of building the
character of other will defy time as they s tand throughout
the eternal ages as a monument not to your own self
but to him who powerfully works in us. To see more about
what it means to build up others, read 1 Thess 5:11 and Eph
4:11-16.
