It was a great opportunity for me to work with TH Heavy Engineering in Proposal
Department. I am extremely grateful to the entire staffs of Proposal Department, who have
shared their expertise and knowledge with me.
My sincere gratitude to Mr. Yusni Bin Yusof (Senior Manager of Proposal Department) for
providing me with an opportunity to work with them as a practical trainee who has provided
me with the necessary information and his valuable suggestion and comments on bringing out
this report in the best possible way.
I am highly indebted to Mr. Sahamir (Package Engineer of Proposal Department) who has
provided me with his knowledge and supporting me in understanding the basics tasks in
Proposal Deparment.
I also very thankful to my family and friends who have assisted in the completion of this final
report. I am thankful to Allah S.W.T that has always inspires me to take the right step in the
journey of success of my life.

ABSTRACT
First of all, I would like to thank and express my appreciation to UniKL MIMET for giving
me this opportunity to undergo my industrial training at Tabung Haji Heavy Engineering
(THHE). I have learnt a lot during these 4 months internship. Amongst them I managed to
increase my confident and social skill.
Initially I was afraid to step in this situation because I am the only one from UniKL MIMET.
I started my industrial training in the Proposal Department. Things got very challenging.
I was given the task to insert values on unit rates in Microsoft Excel, where certain rates I
would need to do some research on it. I also need to insert values for Anjung project currently
TH Heavy had. All values needed to insert carefully and precise and no room for mistakes.
I was taught to have positive attitude and asking a lot of question in doing my job.
In this four month, I realised that experience is the best teacher. This is truly the most
memorable period of my life.

CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION

1.0 INDUSTRIAL TRAINING OBJECTIVE

Students will be able to apply the skills that they have gained throughout the academic years.
In addition, they can enhance their knowledge and abilities at the companies that they are
attached to.
The internship also a shared social obligation for both UniKL and the practical companies
involved. UniKL practical students will assist the companies in handling any related jobs and
it also enables UniKL to identify industries current needs, hence improving any weaknesses
discovered. Therefore, the University will be able to strengthen its curriculum and produce
graduates who are market ready.

1.2 POSITION GIVEN

My position in TH Heavy Engineering (THHE) was in Proposal Department. I was assigned
to assists my officemates in project bidding. In this department I learned that mistakes are not
accepted. All the numbers such as costs and man hours must be precise and accurate.
1.2.1 PROPOSAL QUALITY PROCEDURE (DOCUMENT PDF)
OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this procedure is to define the required activities, from initial stage of
bidding exercise till submission of the bidding document.
SCOPE:
The scope of this procedure applicable as the guidance on the administration and control
aspects related to the bidding purposes.
PROCEDURE OUTLINE:

1.3 SUPERVISOR
I report my tasks and works to my supervisor, Mr. Yusni b. Yusof (Senior Manager of
Proposal Department). It was a pleasure to work with him because a lots of new information
and knowledge that been taught by him. One task that was given by him that I really
appreciated to be participated in was the bidding of Anjung Project. In this project everything
need to be accurate and mistake free.
He also taught me how to use Microsoft Excel in new level, where I did not learn in my past
studies. Furthermore, Mr. Yusni always checks my work and will give more so I can
experience working in Proposal Department.
