MIRROR OF SOLOMON:

THE TRUE GRIMOIRE & THE ANGEL ANAEL

In a ritual, setting the mirror would be flanked by candles on either side, without having
the flame reflected in the mirror itself. The Mirror is painted black, the frame as well as the back
of the glass, and the script for the spirit names is painted red.

This working is from Taliesin McKnight's interpretation of an operation from the True Grimoire.

Materials:
*Black scrying mirror --(Flat black paint for the mirror)

*White cloth-- (Cover it in white cloth for the duration of the consecration 45 days)

*Appropriate incense

THE RITUAL

This ritual actually takes 45 days to perform. During this period (a

universal rule in grimoires) one should commit no sin in thought or
deed, practice acts of kindness and piety,
and be as spiritually "pure" as possible. After all, you will be working
with an angel, and it's important to be as pure
as possible when dealing with angels. You have to
get up to their frequency, so-to-speak.
Otherwise
your contact
with the angel will fail.

Obtain a black mirror and a white cloth. Cense the mirror in purifying
smoke and asperge with blessed water. Ask God to purify the mirror
with a sincere heart. Wrap the mirror in the white cloth and keep it in
a safe place free from any negative energy until the specified time of
the working.

On the night of the New Moon during the 1st hour after sunset, go to
a window, look up with devotion to the Creator and say the following
prayer:

"O Eternal! O King Eternal! God Ineffable! Thou who hast

created all things for love of me, and by a secret judgment for
the health of Man do Thou deign to look upon me [Name], Thy
most unworthy servant, and upon my intention. Vouchsafe to

send unto me Thy Angel Anael, even upon THIS mirror, who doth
order, command, and ordain his companions and Thy subjects,
whom Thou hast made! O Thou Almighty Lord, who hast been,
who art, and who shalt remain eternally, that in Thy Name may
they judge and act justly, instructing me in all that I shall
require of them."

Cast upon burning coals any suitable incense, and while casting,
recite the following three times:

"In this, by this, and with this, which I pour out before Thy face,
O God, my God, who art blessed, Three and One, and in the
most sublime exaltation, who sittest above the Cherubim and
above the Seraphim, who wilt judge the world by fire. Hear Thou
me!"

Then, breathe upon the mirror three times. Say:

"Come, Anael! Come! And may it be thy good pleasure to be

with me by thy will, in the name of the [making the Sign of the
Cross] Father most mighty, of the Son most wise, in the name of
the Holy Spirit most living! Come, Anael, in the name of the
terrible JEHOVAH! Come, Anael, by the virtue of the immortal
ELOHIM! Come, Anael, by the right arm of the mighty
METATRON! Do thou come unto me [speak your name over
mirror], and so command thy subjects that in love, joy, and
peace they may manifest unto my eyes the things which are
hidden from me! So be it. Amen."

Lift up your eyes to heaven and say:

"O Lord Almighty, who dost cause all things to move according
to Thy good pleasure! Hear Thou my prayer and may my desire
be agreeable unto Thee! Lord, O Lord! If Thou wilt, condescend
to look upon this mirror and bless it, that so Anael, one of Thy
servants, may pause thereon with his companions to satisfy me,
[name], Thy poor and humble servant, O God, blessed and

exalted above all the heavenly spirits, who livest and reignest
forever and ever! Amen."

Make the Sign of the Cross over yourself and then upon the
mirror.
o Every day for 45 days, repeat the Sign of the Cross on
yourself and the mirror.
o On a daily basis, pray to the Angel Anael and also pray to
God with devotion and sincerity in your heart.
o Ask Anael each day to use the mirror to reveal things
hidden from your sight.
o Practice righteousness and avoid any and all impurity
during this 45 day period.
o Abstain from alcohol and other intoxicants; abstain from
sex and over-abundance of food.
o Sexual abstinence, refraining from intoxicants, and
fasting with prayers is common to almost all grimoires.
o This period should be especially dedicated to physical
and emotional purity and special devotion to the Divine.
Such ascetic practices has been known to induce altered
stated of consciousness and to prepare the magus for deep,
spiritual work.

At the end of this 45 day period, you should begin to "feel" the
presence of the angel in the mirror. And, henceforth, whenever you
wish to scry in the mirror, light a white candle on each side of the
device, and recite the following prayer:

"Come, Anael! Come according to thy good pleasure!"

(Pray from your heart for Anael to come and reveal the things you
seek knowledge of. Then, simply gaze into the mirror. This is will now
be the standard procedure each time that you wish to scry with the
aid of the Angel.)

To dismiss the angel when you are done with each session, merely
recite the following:

"I thank thee, Anael, because thou hast appeared and satisfied
me. Do thou therefore depart in peace and return when I shall
call thee."
