CURRICULUM PROJECT:

Project Title: REMOTE AUTOMATION OF DEVICES USING SERIAL TO

ETHERNET ADAPTER.

Project Role: TEAM LEADER.

Project Description:

The main aim of this project is to connect remote devices in the

network and to have to and fro data transfer between them through
the network without the help of the computer on the device side.

The main reason why we cannot connect the devices directly to the
network is that, the data that is flowing in the network is in accordance
with the TCP/IP protocol, which the devices cannot understand. So in
our project we are developing an Ethernet adapter device (EAD)
module which takes the data coming from the network in the form of
packets and extract the exact data by removing the headers and
trailers in the data packet, and give that to the remote devices for
processing.

This project is perfectly suited for applications like the barcode

readers, remote security management, home automation etc.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

1. Participated in STATE LEVEL TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM held at St.

Marry's College of Engineering.
2. Worked as organizer in STATE LEVEL TECHNICAL PAPER
PRESENTATION conducted by B. V. C. Engineering College.
3. Participated in NATIONAL LEVEL elocution held at SEVENTH DAY
ADVENTIST HIGH SCHOOL, NARSAPUR.
