Welcome to read the Operation Manual for the operation of Dental Unit (L1-660B/C and
L1-670B/C). This guide provides an easy-to-use source of technical information for operating
and maintaining your L1-660B/C and L1-670B/C Dental Unit .
Before using the L1-660B/C and L1-670B/C Dental Unit , make note of all cautions and

1. About L1-660C and L1-670C dental unit

Model: L1-660C and Model: L1-670C dental unit are suitable for the diagnosis,
treatment and operation on oral disease. Model: L1-660C/L1-670C are both fully computer
controlled system treatment equipments designed by our company according to
ergonomics principle with complete function. As for its operation of complete machine, its
fully automatic operation is all controlled by the function key of microcomputer. It is
composed of multifunction dental complex treatment unit, electric dental chair and dentist
chair. It adopts low voltage DC motor and features with simple structure and convenient
operation.
Water input hose (ID): 10mm hose fitting 1/2"

1.1 External dimension of equipment

To ensure its normal operation and safe movement, please refer to Figure.1 and keep
enough space for clinical use.

Preparation before installation ( Figure.2)
According to the layout of consulting room, the lighting conditions and the convenience for
use, confirm the position of the ground box and the position of the whole equipment in
accordance with Figure.4and the form of ground box.

For recommendation, please use handpiece made by W&H or NSK. Which are in
compliance with standards ISO 2001 or CE.

1.4 Power On/Off Button (Figure.3)

The delivery system have the power on/off button, on the chair.
Press the power on/off button once to turn the power on. Press the button again to turn the
power off.
NOTE Please shut off the power before replacing the safety fuse: F5Ax250V

NOTE

The power on/off button must be on for the dental unit to function.
To prolong the life of your equipment, turn the power off when it is not in use.
ELECTRICAL WARNING Switch the branch circuit breaker off prior to the servicing of

the
dental unit.

1.5 Activate Handpiece

The handpieces automatically activate when you lift a handpiece from its holder or pull the
Continental whip forward. Press the foot control to operate the activated handpiece.

1.6 Handpiece Lockout

When a handpiece is removed from the holder and the foot control is pressed, the chair
does not operate.

1.7 Air/Water Coolant

Each handpiece is set for independent on/off operation. When you withdraw a handpiece
from its resting position, air and water coolant will be activated. An icon displays on the
screen to indicate ctivation.(Figure 4)

The water coolant button operates as a three-way switch with the toggle on the foot control.
The system defaults to the last setting selected for each individual handpiece position.

The L1-660 and L1-670 dental unit and regulate air and water to operate dental handpieces,

syringes and ancillary devices. You can adjust the delivery system water coolant flow, air
flow and drive air pressure (Figure 5).

1.8 Water System

The L1-660 or L1-670 handpiece water system sed of distilled water.

To turn the water coolant off, use your foot to flip the toggle.
To turn the water coolant on, flip the toggle again.
NOTE On a deluxe touchpad the wet/dry toggle operates as a three-way switch with the
air
and water coolant buttons.

1.10 Touchpads
The touchpad centralizethe controls of the dental unit ( Figure 7). Some touchpad buttons
have indicators to alert you if the operation is functioning.

2. Operation
2.1 Status Icon
The logo"shanghai linkgold" on the touchpad indicates the status of the system:
A solid blue logo indicates normal operation and power is on.
A blinking blue logo indicates the chair stop plate or the cuspidor limit switch has been
activated. Remove any obstructing objects. The icon should return to solid blue.
2.1.1 Water supply setting of rinsing water
a.

Press down set button

, gently press down SET, the setting state starts when

the indicating light is on.

b.

Press rinsing water button

, starts to supply water, stop pressing when the water

in measuring cup reaches anticipated water level, stops supplying water.

c. Press set button again, setting is over, computer will memorize and store, therefore,
once press the rinsing water button, it will automatically supply water with such amount
when it is used in the future.
2.1.2 Time setting of spittoon washing
a. Press down set button

, gently press down SET and the indicating light is on.

Press spittoon washing button

, it starts to fill water into spittoon. When it reaches

the required and set time, press

, again and the setting is over. Computer will

memorize and store, therefore, once spittoon washing button is pressed tenderly, it will
automatically wash till the set time when it is used in the future.
2.1.3 Heating of rinsing water
The unit has the automatic isothermal water heater. Please operate as the following to
get hot water. Press the heating button of water heater, the indicating light beside

will be on, and then the water heater will heat automatically till the

isothermal state. To close this system, please press this button again, and the indicating

3.3 Maintenance Cleaning and Asepsis

3.3.1 Handpiece
Handpiece is a delicate device, so it shall not be pounded or dropped. It shall be cleaned
and lubricated with special detergent and lubricant every day. As for the specific method,
pleace refer to the instruction manual of handpiece provided by they manufacturer.
z Clean the surface of dental drill with alcohol cotton.
z Blow it with clean lubricating oil for 2-3s.
z Wrap it with sterilization package.
z High-temperature steam sterilization(135,15min,220KPa)
3.3.2 Water filter
The unit has water filter to ensure its normal use.After serving a certain time,the dirt will block
the filter core and affect the water flow,therefore,it is necessary to clean and replace the filter
core. The filter core shall be cleaned and replaced under any of the following conditions:
z It has been used for over half a year.(Depend on the local water quality).
z The extracted water becomes turbid suddenly.
The specific cleaning method is as follows: open the ground box cover first, counterclockwise
rotate and dismount water filter cover to remove filter core. Clean it with the ultrasonic or
neutral detergent, wash it with tap water thoroughly after cleaning and then mount water filter
cover. The water filter can stop the inpurity of water, clean the filter core for every three months.
3.3.3 Relief valve of air filtration
Drain the water when:
z It is used for over one week.
z The water in filter cup accounts for three-quarter of volume.
z The color of water in filter cup changes turbid .
3.3.4 Saliva ejector and suction
Besides the maintenance of their exterior cleanness, the cleanness of interior pipeline
system of saliva ejector and suction still need to be maintained. The method of cleaning
pipe system is as follows: regularly pump clear water or special sterilized water about 30s

with recommended 1 or 2 times every day.

3.3.5 Other
a) 3-way syringe tip: high-temperature steam sterilization(135C,15min,220KPa) .
b) Dental chair: clean and sterilize it with leather detergent and medical alcohol.

6. Warranty
Shanghai linkgold all products against defects in materials or workmanship for one year
from time of delivery. shanghai linkgolds sole obligation under the warranty is to provide
parts for the repair, or at its option, to provide the replacement product (excluding labor).
The buyer shall have no other remedy. All special, incidental, and coincidental damages are
excluded.
Written notice of breach of warranty must be given to shanghai linkgold within the warranty
period. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper installation or
maintenance, accident or misuse. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from the
use of cleaning,
disinfecting or sterilization chemicals and processes. The warranty also does not cover light
bulbs. Failure to follow instructions provided in the shanghai linkgold Instructions For Use
(operation and maintenance instructions) may void the warranty.
No other warranties as to merchantability or otherwise are made. For service information,
contact your local authorized shanghai linkgold dealer.
