Innovation lies within the students

We believe that the students are the one and only source of genuine and
true innovation that is greatly needed in our country nowadays.
The school system in Egypt needs creativity more than ever, and that is why
we believe that every student has great potentials in him or her and that
these potentials can be distilled and taken fully advantage of.

Our Philosophy
Our utmost important philosophy is to never underestimate our students
abilities. We see that the students are the solid bricks used to build this great
school of ours and that they are as equally important as even the school
principal.
We are aware of the weighty fact that our students have concerns that need
to be addressed and suggestions that need to be taken into consideration.
Therefore, as stated earlier, we believe that the students are what make our
school valuable.
We believe that every student has different abilities and we believe in
diversity and we encourage it. Every student has his or her way of learning
things and that is why diversity is our main goal to achieve.

Vision
We aspire to be the school that not only the students need to join, but also
want to. Our vision is also the students vision; it is what they wish for in a
school. Therefore, our vision is that we work to provide a comfort zone
environment for our students so that they would later graduate without
having any sort of insecurities about themselves whatsoever.

Mission Statement
To provide our students with enough knowledge that can help them in their
lives even after they graduate.
We want our students to find our knowledge useful and we want them to
apply it in their everyday lives.

Expectations from our students

Hard work: We work very hard to provide this learning environment

for our students, therefore we expect them to work just as hard and
then some.
Enlightenment: We offer our students a wide array of means of
learning, therefore we expect them to allow us to transmit this
knowledge to them.
Discipline: Students are expected to behave well at all times, with one
another and staff.
Practicality: We want our student to be flexible and practical in their
way of receiving knowledge.

Staf
We believe that not only the students should be evaluated, but also the
teachers as well. In our schools system, we are very keen to evaluate the
teachers every now and then to make sure they are more than qualified to
teach our dear students.
We believe that our teachers should be:

Well-tempered
Civilized
Highly educated
Pacifists
Give opportunities to all students
Just
Democratic
Respectful
Creative
Flexible
Knowledgeable

We also believe that the teachers should not be biased to any student and
that our teachers should be unique enough to open the minds of our
students and do not limit their abilities but expand them beyond what they
might ever dream of.

Administration
Our administration will be available at all times for your service in case any
of the parents or students has any inquiries.
The administration will act as the bridge that connects the parents and
students with the teachers and principal.
Our administration aims to make the students aware of their value. If ever a
problem occurs, the administration will listen to the student(s) and see their
side of the story just as much as it listens to the teacher(s).

Please note the following:

The school does not require a deputy principal.

We believe that communication between the principal and the students
should be very direct.
Therefore there is no need for a deputy principal.

Enrollment
The school administration will first hand newcomers a test to test their
general abilities, talents and even attitudes.
After each newcomer student has finished his first general test, he will then
be given a secondary exam so that he would be examined in the subject he
excelled at the most.
After the student finishes both exams, he will be given an appointment at
which he can meet the school principal. During this meeting, the principal
will be able to personally evaluate and handpick the students who are
looking to join our school.
Please note that no fees are required for any of the admission tests.

Pre-College is basically high school. However, we chose to name it so
because, unlike many traditional high schools, we actually prepare our
students for the vast world of college.
Many students leave high school not sure of what to do with their lives. Some
tudents go into college and later feel regret or doubt about their choices.
Pre-College eliminates any of these weary feelings students might develop
about their choices.
Thats why Pre-College aims to put the students in an environment that
resembles the one that they might find in a college.
Students will pick the subjects that will allow them to study the major of their
choice way before they start studying it at college.

Grading system
We believe in grades because they are able to give us an in-depth look at
how students are progressing in our school.
If any of our student isnt able to keep up with our curriculum, we will
immediately see what is causing the problem and work with the student,
parents and teacher(s) in order to fix the problem.
If a student fails his academic year more than two times in a row and doesnt
reach our required level of education we aim for, then he or she shall be
dismissed from school.

Ascension
Just like how college requires students to have a certain score in order for
them to get accepted into the college, Edutopia roughly works the same way.
In order to ascend from one grade level to the next, our students must meet
some requirements we aim for
Our criteria encompass many things that we hope our dear students would
work hard to achieve. These things include, but are not limited to:

Good behavior
Good grades
Not many tardies

In order to ascend from elementary to middle school, a student must achieve

an average grade of C.
In order to ascend from middle school to Pre-College, a student must achieve
an average grade of B.
Students who graduate from Pre-College with an average grade of A have
easy access to our system of Endless Possibilities.

Attendance, Late and Dress Code

Our school takes appointments and times very seriously, we believe that
being on time is a crucial aspect in a persons personality. Therefore, we
believe that we should implement this value in our dear students.
If any student has any personal circumstances that will prevent him or her
from attending school we will sit with him or her and discuss his or her issues
and make sure to understand why they might not love or care enough to
attend school.
We will try to be as flexible as possible and provide the best ambience for the
students.
Each student has a total number of 10 absents per semester and a total of
20 absents per year. Half of these absents is justified for the students, the
other half is for special cases.
If a student comes late so school, he or she will be notified that this behavior
is inappropriate and is not accepted.
If a student comes late to school 5 times in a row, he or she will be
suspended for a day.
Each student is allowed a maximum number of 15 tardies for the ENTIRE
school year. If a student surpasses that specified number, he or she shall be
suspended for a week.

Dress Code
Since we seek to provide the most suitable learning environment for our
students, we want our students to be comfortable during the school day.

White T-shirt
Black sweatpants
White Sweater

The school provides the uniform for the students and the uniform holds the
badge of the school.

Edutopian Events
Annual School International Debate Conference
Groups of students work together to represent many countries and debate
for them. Debates could include any kind of issues and the winning group
goes on a trip to the country they were debating for. This conference helps to
open up the minds of our students to new cultures and it also teaches them
how to debate in a civilized way to they convey their message.

We Conference
In this conference, representatives of each grade discuss the schools issues
to the principal. It is held twice a year, one in the first semester and one in
the second.

Parents Meeting
Three times a year, parents meetings will be held so that parents would see
their students progress in our school.

Edutopian Talent Show

A show that sheds light on the schools talented students and encourages
them to further nourish their precious talents.

Endless Possibilities
In our school, we provide internships for students who excel and we
encourage community service for whomever has the potential to develop the
community and this add bonuses to grades. We also encourage diversity by
which we want our students to be exposed to different cultures so the
students who excel, we provide them with student exchange programs.
Further details will be discussed later with the parents. Students who excel in
their field will be offered scholarships for the college of their choice.

Positive Sanctions :
Students who excel in everything such as grades, behavior,

enthusiasm, obeying the general rules and showing up on time, will

receive a price reduction of the fees.
Students whose academic levels were declining and then they made a
come back, will be given privilege.
In class, teachers give bonuses for students who are passionate and
enthusiastic in what theyre doing.

Rules & Regulations

In our school , we take the rules very seriously to embed discipline in our
students. We created these rules not to make it hard on students but vice
versa. We expect all the rules to be followed by our students to eliminate any

Obstacles and Solutions

As we stated earlier that we are very keen to provide the best learning
environment for our students and since teachers are very crucial part
of this process, we make sure that the quality of teaching in our school
is as fine as it can get.
Finding the best teachers that can provide the best quality of
education with innovative methods isnt an easy task , however,
our school did a very hard work to fine the best teachers for our
dear students by evaluating the teachers before they have been
employed and making sure that we evaluate them every now
and then to strengthen the fact that they always should be good
enough for our students.

We seek to appoint laborers who are qualified and trustworthy

and who are able to carry out their jobs

The schools goal is to open the minds of its students and provide them with
the best quality of knowledge and information therefore we look for the best
curriculum that can expand the students minds and gets the creativity and
the intellectual inside them so that they can be something big in the future,
we expect our knowledge to fall on them and to take advantage from every
bits and pieces of the curriculum that we provide them with.
