GRETNA BOAT LAUNCH ON THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER (FOOT OF HUEY
P. LONG AVE., GRETNA, LA.) Work consists of adding a boat back-down
ramp to the Gretna Ferry Landing to allow emergency trailered boats to launch
at any river stage. The ramp consists of five steel pipe pile bridge bents with
concrete caps supporting four elevated steel bridge deck 16 wide steel grating
roadway spans. Two additional spans are on grade consisting of a 12 thick
concrete transition slab and an articulated precast concrete roadway. The last
grade span will require placement in the river to the 5 foot contour on a graded
stone bank. In addition, two steel pipe pile dolphins are placed at ramp end, and
a pile supported light pole is located on the batture.

The Jefferson Parish Personnel Department is seeking to fill the following positions
within the classified service of Jefferson Parish.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - LIBRARY ($45,238/per year) Position requires a
Masters degree in Library Science from a college or university accredited by the
American Library Association; plus either of the following: Current employment
and permanent civil service status with Jefferson Parish at the level of Liberian IV
or above and at least three (3) years of Supervisory, professional level library work.
At least five (5) years of professional level library work experience at the
Supervisory/Management level in the capacity of a Department/Division Manager
or above in a public system serving a population of at least 50,000 residents. Note:
Required experience must have been gained after obtaining a Masters degree

AFFAIRS ($37,885/per year) Position requires attainment of an accredited
Bachelors degree, preferably in Environmental Science, Regional Planning,
Public Administration, or a related field; PLUS, considerable (approx. three
years or more), paid experience performing, or assisting with, administrative
management work, such as grant writing and program management, to include
some experience (at least two months) in the area of environmental planning or
waste management. SUBSTITUTION: An accredited Masters degree (preferably
in Environmental Science, Regional Planning, Public Administration, or a related
field) may substitute for two years of the paid experience performing, or assisting
