TASK DESCRIPTION:


In-class writing task of 100-150 words (Phase 1 and 2) and a minimum of 200250 words (Phase 3) in a 50 minute class session.
Reminder: Use a wide range of tenses and vocabulary. Make your sentences
interesting and varied. Be sure to include vocabulary weve learned in the past
unit.
Task: You will be asked to write on a topic that you have previously studied in

class. Possible writing tasks include: an email, a blog, a brochure, a formal


letter, a newspaper article, etc. Be sure to keep in mind your message, your
intended audience and your word count.
Points Points awarded, mark boundaries and level of achievement:

Your writing will be marked using the Criterion C and Criterion D rubrics
attached. Both Criterion will be assessed once more during the semester
to make a final judgment using the 'best fit' approach as to which level
of achievement is awarded.
