INTRODUCTION

AIQ is defined as the physical and chemical nature of indoor air, as

delivered to the breathing zone of building occupants, which produces a
complete state of mental, physical and social wellbeing of the occupants,
and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity by the The World Health
Organization (WHO). The purpose of the AIQ cover or involves the collection
of air samples, monitoring human exposures to pollutants, collection of
samples on building surfaces, and computer modelling of air flow inside
buildings other than that it measure of the buildings interior air in terms of
the occupants potential health and comfort. Chemical, physical, and
biological contaminants can cause symptoms ranging from discomfort to
serious illness.
The task given to our group for the Indoor Air Quality subject was to
measure the physical, chemical and biological data in the place that had
been decide. The requirements for the place that need to be conduct
experiment or test must be more than 30 m2 @ 323 ft2. The place that been
decide is Residential house Lorong Harmoni at Parit Haji Salleh Ros where the
building orientation was facing north and near with the other residential
house and the layout for the internal was room layout based.

Suggestion to improve air quality

Indoor air quality is very important to occupant in the building to
ensure the safe and good health of the occupants from any hazard that
may affect the health, comfort and productivity of building occupants.
So theres some suggestion on control measure to improve air quality
toward green. Firstly properly ventilate the homes, increase the
amount of fresh air by opening windows and doors or running air
conditioners and fan that exhaust to outside. Furthermore changing the
heating and air conditioner filters frequently and follow the
manufacture recommendation. Other than that, adjust the humidity
where the EPA recommends humidity level of between 30-50%. Too
much humidity could potentially lead to mole. Besides, theres other
step that can be taken like installation of air cleaning devices.

CONCLUSION
In a conclusion, from the experiment that had been conducted we are
able to measure the physical, chemical and biological data of indoor air
quality by using the equipment that been provided. By the experiment
was conducted also we gained the knowledge about the indoor air
quality in the building and detect whether the indoor air quality was in
good condition or not by measuring the data and comparing toward
the standard. So the awareness about the indoor quality are more alert
toward us and we will find the solution to solve the problem of the
contaminant that been in our room or space. The effect of the
contaminant air gives the bad effects to our body life and it is long
term effect. But from the experiment the student are more concern
toward making the indoor air quality better and comfort.
