THE FULLNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The church wakes up to an amazing message this
morning. Look around and see
who has been called. Listen to
the voices of those who
proclaim Jesus is Lord. Youll
find no race of people left out;
youll find no language on earth
unfit to proclaim the glory of
God. We call Pentecost Sunday
the birthday of the church. In
many ways, the church is still
being born. Only when we all know the peace Jesus
offered in todays Gospel will we really know the
fullness of the Holy Spirit.
St. Paul assures us in todays second reading that
all of us have been given to drink of the one
Spirit. When we look around us in the church we
should see everyone. But we dont. Not yet. What is
holding us back from fully embracing the one Body of
Christ? When will we see our differences as

Vocations to the Priesthood

The Archdiocese of Chicago Vocations Office helps men discern a call to

the priesthood through retreats, visits to the seminary and discernment opportunities. As well, the Vocation
Office works with men to determine their eligibility to apply to the seminary for the diocesan priesthood in
Chicago. Finally, the Vocations Office actively works to create a culture supportive of vocations through

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
Time goes by fast. Our plans and dreams are not Gods plans. God has different plans
than we do. Five years ago I was serving you here at St. Albert the Great as an
associate pastor ( from 2007 to 2011). Starting July 1st, 2016 I will return to youas a
new pastor. I am fortunate to know the Parish Faith Community very well, have friends
here and many good memories.
I believe that as a parish, together with Christs help we will be able to Renew His Church. Therefore,
my beloved people: Live Well, Love God, love one another and smile often!

Catholic Charities Volunteer Opportunities Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer? Catholic
Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago is looking for helpful, friendly volunteers to serve as greeters at
the hospitality table at 721 North LaSalle Street in Chicago. The volunteers will welcome guests and help
with the intake of clothing donations. The volunteer would serve a 2 or 3 hour shift on a Monday,
Thursday, or Friday of their choice between 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. For more information, department at
