Basic TFA Instructor:


Geneie Everett, PhD, RN, is the Founder and
Director of Trauma First Aide Associates providing
trauma education to helping professionals including
first responders, medical and mental health
personnel, military, clergy and disaster workers. Dr.
Everett is an Integrative Practitioner incorporating
multiple Body/Mind/Spiritual techniques from
western medicine and native cultures with 35 years
experience as a private consultant and trauma
therapist. Her integrative practice is informed by
studies and experience in clinical nursing, CrossCultural Healing, Hospital Design & Planning,
Energy Medicine, Imagery, Biofeedback,
Shamanism, Mind/Body Counseling, Altered-statesof Consciousness, Massage Therapy, Trauma
Therapy, Transpersonal Psychology, Feldenkrais,
Acupuncture, Somatic Psychology, Somatic
Experiencing, Spiritual Healing, and Indigenous
Healing and Ritual. As a registered nurse, Geneie
worked critical care and specialized in burn,
surgical, multi-systems trauma, and renal transplant
units. Dr. Everett is an author and consultant and
presents at national conferences. She received her
Ph.D. in Science of Intuition and Energy Medicine
from Greenwich University and a Ph.D. from
HOLOS University in Energy Medicine. She is the
Program Director for the Integrative Healthcare
Track at Holos University and on faculty at Energy
Medicine University in Sausalito, CA. As Director of
the Foundation for Human Enrichment, Trauma
Outreach Program 2005-2006, she led response
teams to Thailand to assist survivors of the Asian
tsunami disaster and deployed multiple teams to
Louisiana in response to hurricanes Katrina and
Rita. Dr. Everett currently teaches integrative
approaches for healing traumatic stress responses.
