To learn Abyss Mystic requirements:

Occult 3 minimum
You cannot learn a ritual with a level that is higher than your occult or
obtenerbration level.
Description: Despite being ritual based Abyss Mystiscm is like a discipline in its own
right. Therefore rituals cost level x3 in order to obtain with experience. Even those
who master the discipline are changed forever. Characters do not get experience for
flaws gained with using the rituals.
Test Pool: Mentals+Occult
Pierce the Veil level 1
When one stares into the Abyss the Abyss stares back. The ritual attunes the
user to darkness, it will mark the user forever. Using Shadow Play, the mystic
forms a ball of shadows in her hand and gazes into its depths. The player
makes a test with the storyteller. A success results in the character gaining
the Merit Darksight for the night. A tie simply means that the ritual does not
succeed and must be tried another night, while a failure results in Darksight
being acquired as a Flaw. When a character uses Darksight gained through
use of this ritual, her eyes become completely black, without reflection
windows into the Abyss itself. This effect lasts for the remainder of the night
for characters who obtained Darksight as a result of a failed ritual.
Eyes of the Abyss level 2
With this ritual the Mystic makes tiny denizens of the Abyss to do her bidding.
Mostly to be used as spies.
The vampire crushes a small flame in her hand and takes a point of aggravated
damage. If the caster does not frenzy and succeeds on a test against the story teller
then the ritual succeeds. A tie means nothing else happens and a fail means the
caster takes an additional point of aggravated damage.
The servant lasts for as many nights as the caster has in obtenerbration levels
divided by 2 rounded down. It will respond to all commands given by the caster. It
can communicate mentally by entering a persons shadow. The servants flies at 30
meters a round and is destroyed instantly by fire or sunlight.
The servant is a level 2 retainer with specialties in stealth and brawl. It will create 1
arms of Ahriman from its body to attack. They are usually used to assist the caster
in attacking or defending.
The Third Eye of Rickard level 3
The ritual takes ten minutes to cast where the castor meditates in total darkness
with their eyes open. Make a test against the storyteller difficulty 10. A tie means
the ritual needs to be performed again and a failure causes an aggravated damage
as a searing pain enters the forehead.

A third eye appears with a black iris on the body of the mystic usually the forehead
but can be anywhere. Success means the castor decides how much blood to invest
into the eye. At any time after the ritual is casted the character automatically
succeeds on surprises or ambushes and reacts in full capacity as if not surprised.
The caster also reacts by summoning an arm of Ahriman to grapple the surprise or
ambush.
Reflection of Hollow Revelations level 4:
The ritual castor summons a shroud and compresses it into the palm of their hand.
The caster must know the face of who they are looking for. It does not have to be
the real face of the individual however if the person has changed faces or uses a
different disguise then the shroud does not find who they are looking for.
Success means they find who they are looking for.
A tie means nothing happens
A failure means the caster is trapped looking into the shroud for ten minutes and
does not respond to outside stimulus other then attack. Even then the caster is
stuck looking into the orb which causes them to have a minus 5 penalty to defend.
Summon the Hungry Shade level 5:
The caster attempts to summon forth a solider of the Abyss. Attempts to doing this
are a difficulty of 12.
The caster starts right after dusk. Spending a point of blood to make a circle of their
own vitae.
On a tie the ritual fails and the caster cannot attempt the ritual for another night.
A Failure means the caster is attacked by the Shade instead.
On a success the caster summons a shade for a number of nights equal to the
casters obtenerbration level. Use the rules for a 5 dot retainer with specialties in
brawl, stealth, dodge, intimidation and potence. The shade takes double damage
from fire or sunlight and can walk up vertical surfaces like tenerbrous form.
Embodiment of Shadow level 6:
This ritual causes the castor to not only be fueled by kindred blood but also by the
abyss in physical form. The castor creatures a shroud of night and breathes it into
his body. The character cannot do this with another characters shroud.
In doing this the shroud disappears and the castor gains a number of physical points
equal to their obtenerbration level.
This boost in power comes with a price. The castor must shed twice the amount of
blood as attribute points gain. If the castors physical pool goes up by 6 then 12
points worth of vitae must be shed onto the castor. The blood is devoured by the
skin of the castor and swallowed into the abyss. If at the end of the scene the debt

is not paid then the castors own blood pool is forfeit and begin disappearing at a
point per round until the debt is settled.
Easing the Passage level 5
This version of walking the Abyss causes the castor and accompaniment to only
take unsoakable lethal damage by travelling through the Abyss.
