THE ALPHA-OMEGA PROJECT

All statements are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some
sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and
meaningless in some sense, true and false and meaninglessin some sense
Where do I even start with something like this?
I think what this actually is, is an invitationa call to partake in an exploration.
The idea, really, is to gather explorerspeople interested in working with their
own psyche, interested in exploring the dimensions of the Mind, what it can do,
what it cant.
The idea is to get these explorers to partake in a collaborative efforta
collaborative investigation of what I can only refer to as Magic.
You see, Magictrue Magic is Mental.
Of course, Reality is Mental. Therefore, if we go from this premise, we cant go
wrong in saying that Magictrue Magicis real. And this is what this document
is calling for.
Its calling for true Magicians.
Let me, now, express my Mind with the words of Timothy Leary.
In the forewords of Cosmic Trigger, written by Robert Anton Wilson, Timothy
Leary expressed quite clearly the Nature of the Evolutionary chain that I invite
you, now, to partake in with me.
He said:
We now understand the mystery and paradox of the
great alchemists, philosophers, mystics, sages. They pre-capitulate.
They prospectively live out in their own nervous systems
the future of evolution, the stages which await in the future
of the species. Their nervous systems get into communication
(via reverse transcriptase) with DNA. They learn how
to decode the genetic blueprint. They experience what is to
happen in the future. This, surely, is the royal road to wisdom,
the highway of evolutionthe two-way traffic between
the Central Nervous System (CNS) and the DNA archives, via

RNA messenger molecules.

Consider Lao-tse. In the 6th Century B.C., SHe realizes
Einsteinian relativity, senses that all is flow and evolutionary
change; anticipates (in the / Ching) what computer designers
will understand 2,500 years laterthat energy comes in the
binary code of yin-yang (off-on); forecasts (in the Ching trigrams)
what micro-geneticists will discover 2,500 years later
the triplicate function of amino-acid binding.
Now reflect on the poignant destiny of Lao-tse. SHe
knows that SHe will not be around in biological form when
Watson and Crick decipher the DNA code. The time-lag problem
is solved by transtime neurogenetic signalry. Symbolism.
The Intelligence Agent called Lao-tse teaches the / Ching codes
to domesticated primates, injects some fortune-telling hocus pocus
and thus sends down the 2,500-year CNS-RNA-DNA
teletype channel this basic code. SHe knows that the Confucians
will distort the signal with Boy Scout moralisms (dutifully
preserved in the inane Baynes-Wilhelm commentaries),
knows that countless charlatans will peddle vulgar / Ching fortunes
for a nickle in Oriental bazaars. But SHe knows, also,
that when external technology catches up, 20th Century Intelligence
Agents will receive the dot-dash trigram message
and realize that binary codes and triplicate trigrams are genetic
guide posts explaining the direction and molecular structure
of evolution, from the terrestrial, EE, earth, to the extraterrestrial,
E, heaven.
Now consider the Buddha.
Also in the 6th Century B.C., SHe realizes that consciousness
creates reality; that all is may a, i.e. an internal
dance of neurons, an external dance of protons. SHe advises
detachment from tribal imprints (local reality-tunnels), announces
the octave nature of evolution (again knowing it will
be corrupted by moralists into the 8-fold path of domesticated
virtue and marketed eventually as the 8 x 8 chessboard). SHe
knows that Mendeleyev and the octave division of quarks
await 100 generations in the future.
We are awed by this unbroken chain of generational signalry.
In each of the 100 generations since Buddha, a few Intelligence
Agents are born and spend their brief lives, detached
from the hive, poring over the octaves. In response,

we assume, to some RNA suggestion about the sequence of

the eight periods of evolutionfrom heavy to light, from slow
to fast, from water to fire, from terrestrial to post-terrestrial,
from Kun EE to Chien E, from earth metals to noble gases.
Next, consider the plight of G.I. Gurdjieff, who, 40 years
before the Apollo Lunar Landings and 50 years before the
space shuttle, writes Beelzebub's Tales to His Grandson, predicting
the post-terrestrial future of the species.
Recall the last lines of Aleister Crowley's Confessions,
where he sadly recognizes that scientific experiments of the
next generation will manifest precisely what his magical rituals
could only internalize and ceremonially anticipate.

the traditional habit of referring to the general human being as masculine.)
These words describe the nature of the Evolutionary chain of Intelligence
AgentsMagicians who have been on this Earth.
This chain is exactly what this document is about. Its an invitation to this
same unbreakable chain of Evolutionwhere the Intelligence agent, in his or her
Biological form, is a free Spirita free thinker, not limited by the teachings of
Religions or Dogmas.
The Intelligence Agent is not just a thinker, though.
He or She is an Experimenteran Explorer.
The Intelligence Agent understands what I refer to as Magic to be some sort of an
Internal Technology.
As opposed to the External Technology, Magicreal Magic is about
creating internal tools for the Nervous System to process Reality. Real Magic is
when the Art of Science and the Science of Art become One.
Of course, as one might see, this is a call to some form of a Collectivitya
group, of some sort. Thus, one might, then, ask, What are the rules?
My personal take of the exploration of Magic is that of a Total Agnosticism.
As Robert Anton Wilson put it, Everyone has a belief system, B.S., the trick is
to learn not to take anyone's B.S. too seriously, especially your own.

Just like him, I do not believe in anything. But, I do have a lot of suspicions
This is exactly what a state of Total Agnosticism does to you.
Everything becomes a Model, and thats it.
Nothing more.
The Intelligence Agents job is to explore these Models, use them as Maps, and
never confuse the map for the territory.
The map is not the Territory.
This is a way of saying that the Models of Reality that one is experimenting with is
not Reality. One should not confuse the model for the thing itself.
Matter of fact, it can be argued that no one really knows what true Reality is, other
than through a model.
What we know and what we experiment with are Models.
This collectivity is about sharing our models and the results of our
experimentations with these models for the advancement of the Evolutionary
process.
Each individual has the potential to become an Intelligence Agent. This collectivity
would allow us all to partake in the evolutionary process of intelligence.

As a writer, I admire Alan Moores take on Magic and, therefore, should profit the
occasion to share with you one of my favorite quote of him:
The traditional definition of magic and I think this comes from Crowley
who laid down a lot of the ground rules he defined magic as bringing about
change in accordance with the will. Im not sure about that. Its certainly part of it,
but to bring about change in the universe in accordance with your will seems to me
to be misunderstanding the relationship between the individual and the universe.
In my relationship with the universe, I do tend to see myself as very much the
Junior Partner. I dont want to impose my will on the universe, Id rather the
universe imposed its will on me. I would rather that what I wanted was more in
tune with what the universe wanted. So my definition of magic is a bit less invasive
and intrusive. Its more exploratory with me. I see magic as a vantage point
from which one can look down on the rest of consciousness. Its a point outside
normal consciousness from which you can look at normal consciousness, its a
point outside beliefs from which you can look at beliefs. All beliefs are reality
tunnels, to use Anton Wilsons phrase. There is the Communist reality tunnel, the
Feminist reality tunnel, all of which seem to be the whole of reality when you are
in the middle of them. The whole universe is based on Marxist theory if youre an
intent Marxist. Magic is having a plan of all the tunnels, and seeing the overall
condition in which they all work. Being aware of different possibilities.
What should we name this Collectivity?
This is a question that I have thought about a lot.
Im not quite sure I have a fully functional answer, at this moment.
I toyed with TheAlpha-Omega Society, The Alpha-Omega Community or
even The Alpha-Omega Net. But truthfully, I still havent really come up with
anything consistent.
I consider Alpha-Omega in every one name I come up with, because
somehowI wanted to get a feel of Divine Infinity coming out of the name. And
since, God is sometimes defined as The Alpha and Omega, I thought Why not?
However, this, I feel, should be the responsibility of all of us being the Originators
of this collectivity. I should, therefore, not generate much more words to you, and
hope that I shall hear from all of you, as we prepare for the next stage of this
Collectivity (whatever we choose to name it). You are invited, as youre considered

an Intelligence Agentor, at least, a potential onefor the Advancement of what

we refer to as the Evolutionary Process of Intelligence.
