March 2009–Present:

Manager: As a manager, I am responsible for the professional operation of a self-

service storage facility, which includes land, buildings, equipment and stored property. I
am responsible for its appearance, the office operations, the rental of its units, the sale of
merchandise, the marketing of our services, the security of the premises, and other
operations deemed necessary. This includes timely collection of rent, deposits, all
assessed fees and delinquent rent.
I am also responsible for preparing daily bank deposits and deliveries to the post office,
accurate computer accounting records and petty cash funds, as well as training and
scheduling all staff.

January 2001 – October 2008:

Sales Manager: As Nursery Manager I am responsible for performing the following

job functions: Assist in the hiring and discipline of all sales people. I was responsible for
opening and closing retail store, and helping customer sales. Closing out registers at the
end of the day, which included credit card machine making sure all sales receipts equaled
the sales for each day. I created all promotional events, scheduling of employees for the
work week and special events.

Buyer: Performed daily inspection of Nursery stock and take appropriate action to
correct any problems found. Set orders up and credit terms and pricing with numerous
vendors for all plant material, bulk goods for the Nursery and Landscape divisions. In
charge of unloading and receiving all loads that came into the company. Completed all
inventory and grading of material that came in, entering into the computer and creating
item numbers and pricing and signage for each item. Responsible for all vendor invoices,
checking the prices and terms agreed on.

Customer Service Manager: All customer service calls would be forwarded to me,
my responsibility would be to analyze the problem for the customer, and explain in detail
what needs to be done, and fill out all paperwork. This includes arranging for the
Operation Manager to go to the customer’s home and look at the problem. I would issue
any replacement gift certificate, or repairs needed for customer satisfaction in the
Landscape and Nursery division.

February 1998- January 2001:

Nursery Sales: As a nursery sales person responsible for working with customers and
ringing up sales, and taking phone orders.

Landscape Designer: Responsible for hand drawn designs, computer images, and
complete job estimates for each customer. Evaluate site conditions and selected
appropriate plant material for each job.
