2 APM30H Cabinet
Distributed or separated base stations configured with an IBBS200D and with an IBBS200T are the same
in scenarios configured with an APM30H. This section uses the IBBS200D as an example.
The following figure shows the distributed base station where an APM30H is stacked on a battery
cabinet.

Product Description
2 APM30H Cabinet
The APM30H provides 5 U space for transmission equipment and uses an embedded power
system to feed -48 V DC power into the distributed base station, transmission equipment,
and storage battery groups in the battery cabinet.
When the mains power supply is unavailable, storage battery groups feed -48 V DC power
into the distributed base station and transmission equipment.
The APM30H provides 5 U space for transmission equipment and uses an embedded power
system to feed -48 V DC power into the BBU, RFUs, transmission equipment, and storage
battery groups in the battery cabinet.
When the mains power supply is unavailable, storage battery groups feed -48 V DC power
into the BBU, RFUs, and transmission equipment.
The APM30H reports alarms from the fans of the RFC, door status sensor, DCDU, and
battery cabinet.

DIP Switch
There is a DIP switch on the left panel of the PMU 11A. The DIP switch has eight bits, where
the four least significant bits 1, 2, 3, and 4 define the monitoring address of the PMU 11A, and
the four most significant bits 5, 6, 7, and 8 are not defined but reserved for future use.
ON is indicated by 1, and OFF is indicated by 0. The monitoring address of the PMU 11A is set

Product Description
3 TMC11H Cabinet
NOTE
A DCDU-12B uses the equipotential connection point and ground point in the following scenarios:
l Scenario 1: The DCDU-12B is installed on an open rack. In this scenario, an equipotential cable
connects the equipotential ground point near the mounting ear on the DCDU-12B to the ground bar on
the open rack.
l Scenario 2: The DCDU-12B is installed on a wall as a standalone power distribution device. In this
scenario, the ground point at the rear of the DCDU-12B is connected to the ground bar in the equipment
room.
Function
The DCDU-12B provides ten -48 V DC outputs using the same fuse configurations to meet the
power distribution requirements of indoor and outdoor macro base stations, micro base stations,
and distributed base stations.
Port
The following figure shows the ports on the DCDU-12B panel.

Functions
A fan mounting frame performs the following functions:
l
The fan promotes the inner and outer air circulation of the cabinet to ensure that the cabinet
work within an acceptable temperature range. This allows the batteries to work properly.
The monitoring board installed in the fan mounting frame collects the alarm signals from
the door status sensor, battery temperature sensor, fans, and smoke sensor in the cabinet,
and it reports these alarm signals to the PMU through an RS485 signal cable.
The types of monitoring boards installed in the fan mounting frames vary with the versions of
cabinets. The following table lists the types of monitoring boards.

5.4.1 TEC
A TEC dissipates heat for the storage batteries and ensures the normal operation of an IBBS200T
in high-temperature areas.
Exterior
The following figure shows the exterior of a TEC.
Issue 03 (2013-01-15)

APM30H&TMC11H&IBBS200D&IBBS200T (Ver.D)
Product Description
5 IBBS200T Cabinet
Function
A TEC performs the following functions:
l
If there is a sun shield, and the ambient temperature is 500oC (122oF) without solar
radiation, the TEC ensures that the temperature is equal to or less than 40oC (104oF) in the
cabinet when storage batteries are in float charge and equal to or less than 45oC (113oF)
when the storage batteries are in boost charge.
If there is no sun shield, and the ambient temperature is 50oC (122oF) with solar radiation
of 1120 W/m2, the TEC ensures that the temperature in the cabinet is equal to or less than
45oC (113oF) when storage batteries are in float charge and equal to or less than 50oC
(122oF) when the storage batteries are in boost charge.
If the ambient temperature is 32oC (89.6oF) and there is no temperature difference between
the air intake vent at the hot and cold sides of the TEC, the refrigeration power of the TEC
is equal to or more than 190 W10% and the COP is equal to or more than 0.5.
5.4.2 CMUEA
The central monitoring unit type EA (CMUEA) monitors the fans, Heater Assembly Unit, and
cabinet temperature. A CMUEA can be used in the AMP30H, RFC, TMC11H, IBBS200D,
IBBS200T, or IBBS700D cabinet.
