...Lets all join the march against poverty

publicly confessed that US$15 billion
worth of diamonds money could
not be accounted for. The people of
Zimbabwe are demanding their money
back. Zimbabweans have every right to
demonstrate for the immediate return
of that money as well as for the arrest
of whoever stole that money in the first
place.
That money is public funds, it belongs
to all of us.
MDC Spokesperson Obert Gutu

All roads lead to the Harare Central

Business District on Thursday as
the MDC rallies people against the
crisis of leadership and governance in
Zimbabwe.
Police have been notified about the
peaceful demonstration, which will
attract thousands of citizens who are
mired in poverty after Zanu PF failed
to fulfill its election promises and is
concentrating on succession issues
instead of the crisis facing the country.
MDC spokesperson, Obert Gutu has
said all is set for the big demonstration
which is calling to address five of the
many pressing issues affecting the
nation.
Zimbabwe is now at the crossroads.
Everything that can go wrong has
since gone wrong. They promised to
create 2,2 million jobs but so far, they
have successfully managed to create 2
million loafers and vendors, Gutu said.
Only

recently,

Mugabe

himself

The party spokesperson said at least 4

million Zimbabweans are facing the
horrifying spectre of starvation if they
are not provided with immediate and
urgent food relief. We are demonstrating
against the unlawful and inhuman
practice of abusing and misusing food
aid as a tool for political patronage and
manipulation.

The MDC, together with all concerned

citizens, will be demonstrating against
the abuse of war veterans, Gutu added.

with their families. This demonstration

is a call for action upon all concerned
and patriotic Zimbabweans.

In addition, we will be demonstrating

against the abduction of human rights
activists such as Itai Dzamara and
several other human rights activists
who were abducted by suspected State
security agents.

Hon Gutu further noted that the people

of Zimbabwe are looking up to President
Morgan Tsvangirai and the MDC that he
leads, to provide lasting and sustainable
solutions to the myriad challenges that
they continue to face on a daily basis.

We are calling upon the Zanu PF regime

to take concrete and precise measures to
ensure that these missing human rights
activists are located and safely re-united

It is increasingly becoming clear to

Zanu PF and Robert Mugabe that after
rigging and stealing the elections on 31
July 2013, they cannot rig the economy.

Zimbabweans also want the Zanu

PF government to implememnt the
constitution and institute far-reaching
reforms to ensure that the country holds
credible elections in 2018. At the centre
of the current national crisis is the crisis
of legitimacy after Zanu PF stole its way
into office in 2013.
Come join the peaceful march. Peaceful
protests are allowed in terms of section
59 of the new Constitution.
None but ourselves can set us free!!

It is the duty of the Zanu PF government

to feed the nation and also to ensure that
the partisan distribution of food aid,
particularly in rural areas, is stopped
forthwith. All Zimbabweans who are in
need of food aid should be able to get
food aid regardless of their political
affiliation.
Some few weeks ago, the Zanu PF
regime unleashed its heavily armed
anti-riot Police unit against war veterans
who were holding a lawful meeting in
downtown Harare.
Gallant sons and daughters of the soil,
who participated in the armed struggle
that ushered in our independence in
April 1980, were tear-gassed and beaten
up by the anti-riot Police squad.

President Morgan Tsvangirai wil lead from the front on Thursday (Pic) President Tsvangirai, VP Khupe and aother senior party members joined
the Dzamara family in demanding Itais release since his abduction over a year ago.

MDC - Equal Opportunities for all

1

Call for peaceful demonstrations

The nation faces a worsening economic crisis every day while those charged with the stewardship
of State are concentrating on succession and not national success

Five Reasons why you are marching on 14 April 2016:1. Where are our promised 2.2 million jobs?
We are now a vending nation
Graduates are selling airtime while government is closing
down the remaining few companies

2. Where is our $15 billion from Chiadzwa diamonds?

Potentially US$1 000 per every Zimbabwean, of all ages

3. We are all hungry, why partisan distribution of food?

Food aid should be extended to everyone, not party card carrying members

4. Why beat up our war veterans?

Is this what Chitepo and Tongogara fought and died for?

5. Where is Itai Dzamara and other abducted Zimbabweans.

How can we be secure in our nation when fellow brethren disappear at the hands of National Security Agents?
Today its Itai who knows, tomorrow it could be you!

Handei Tose!!

Let us all meet in Harare on 14 April 2016!!
