Asks the pupils to open their books. Reads

the title of the unit and has the pupils repeat
after her. Reads the instructions. Goes
through the pictures of the dialogue and sets
the scene.
Asks the pupils to listen to the dialogue and
say which picture the sentence was taken
from. Plays the recording.
Reads the instructions for exercise 2 and
explains the task. Asks the pupils to look at
the example and then complete the task in
their notebooks.
Plays the recording again with pauses for the
pupils to listen and repeat chorally. Checks
the pupils pronunciation and intonation.

Repeat.

Reads the instructions to exercise 4 and

explains the task. Elicits the objects shown in
the pictures. Asks two pupils to read the
example.
Refers the pupils to the picture and explains
how the game works. Explains that they have
to look at the picture and spot the differences.
Point out that the use of this/that as opposed
to these/those will be determined by the
quantity of the the objects present. Asks one
pupilto read the example. Dives the class into
4 teams then asks individual students to spot
the difference and tell the class. For every
correct answer, the team gets a point.
Explains the pupils that their homework is
exercise 3 and explains them how to do it
and reads the example.
