1. Use less energy - By recycling, we are helping to save energy, reduce water
pollution, reduce water consumption, preserve natural resources and create
jobs. Many recycling processes use less energy than manufacturing the same
thing from virgin materials, which require extraction and processing. The
exact amount of energy saved depends on the type of material and the
processes used. However, almost all recycling processes are more energy
efficient than the processes used for brand new materials.
Recycling an aluminium can saves 95% of the energy needed to
produce new aluminium can from raw materials. The energy saved

2. Skip the landfill By recycling, we send less material to landfill which

means it wont fill up as fast. That same landfill will remain useful for years
longer. This is important in urban centers where landfill space is scarce just as
important across the country.
3. Create Jobs Domestic employment in a growing industry is something to
be proud of. Many studies have shown that the recycling industry generates
jobs almost six times as many jobs as landfill disposal. Moreover, recycling
activities also can generate income to the related growing industry.
4. Save Money- In many communities, diverting waste from the garbage bin
saves money because we are paying for less disposal cuts. Moreover, many
companies nowadays cut their cost by recycle materials. For example, they
recycling used and old paper instead of shredded the paper or throw it away.

5. Environment Obviously our earth now is become sicker with all the
pollutions especially with the littering and burning waste in the landfill or
open burning. According to health agencies, when garbage and plastics are
being burned, they produce particulate matter that are solid compounds and
are suspended in the air. Exposure to this can increase the risks of developing
heart disease, respiratory disease, asthma and emphysema. So, by recycling
we can save our environment by save our flora and fauna thus can reduce
carbon dioxide (CO2) release to atmosphere by less cutting down tree. The
main key for recycling is the key to providing a livable environment for the
future.

Public Awareness Recycling activities can raise awareness among the

communities. For recycling we can do as individuals, but the more people on
board, the more effective and benefits that we can get.
