CCCNJ Weekly Prayer Requests

Scripture: " 18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been
given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."" (Matthew28:18-20)

Weekly Theme: “Church Vision”

1. Pray that our church pastors, elders and coworkers have a burden of building up God’s house
(church), and have a vision of expanding God’s kingdom.
2. Pray that our church pastors, elders, and coworkers are all connected to our Lord Christ, and have
an attitude of working together in harmony according to the part of the church body each member
belongs to so that we can help and edify one another with love.
3. Pray God to help us to work with Him to build our church with one united mind,” Fellow-Workers
with God, United to Build.”
4. Pray God that we all have the same vision of church planting for the growth of the church and the
expansion of God’s kingdom. Pray God that we can commit ourselves to serving our God with a mind of
team work, and are willing to care for one another so that God’s visions can be carried out, and the gift
of each individual coworker can be fully utilized by God.
5. Pray for the Mission organizations﹕ Chinese Christian Herald Crusades; Missionaries﹕Elder
& Mrs. Chia-Shan Yang and Seminary student﹕ Becky Pigott (Columbia International U.); also
pray for the peace and safety of those brothers and sisters who are on overseas short-term missions.

--- Ministry: Please pray for

1. Pastor Chris and Xris as they preach and chair respectively this coming Sunday.
2. Preparations for Memorial Day Retreat, speakers Rev Currie, Rev Han, and Trip Lee.
3. Manny as he plans for youth ministry (Friday nites and Sunday School) for the summer.
4. Planning for the Middle School program – Christian Service Brigade that will start this summer,
and girls program (in need of adults).
--- Children Ministry: Please pray for
1. Third grade Sunday School teacher: Jesse Chang and fourth grade Sunday school teacher:
Lee-yeh Chen. Pray that the Lord give them strength as they plant the seeds in children’s faith.
2. All parents as they build good characters in their children, the Lord will give them wisdom and
patience.
--- People: Please pray for
1. Healing for: Paul King in China, Mauro Mordini, Tim Chia, Jennifer & Marcus Baeder, Jim’s
mom (less suffering) in Chicago, Joyce & Sebastian Lee in Beijing
2. Marcus B’s citizenship issues so that he can return to Burkina Faso for mission.
3. Chris Chu: preparation for Krygyzstan trip, timing, finances, etc.
4. People attending Mem Day retreat: closer fellowship w/ others and esp. God
5. Difficult work situations: Tim, Amy
6. Kent, Joceline, Chris, Geoffrey; Charles, Swang, WeiWei, Ian; Amy Wang
--- National: Please pray for
1. Supreme court justice-nominee Elena Kagan; wisdom for Senate and House
2. Tornado victims/survivors in Midwest.
3. Hanzhong kindergarten attack where 7 children, 2 adults were killed.
