Editor’s Note
Recently, I read a review article that
compared the pros and cons of the
federal government’s welfare and
healthcare policies. One section
addressed how “Washington” is
setting up the nation to fail as it is
providing more and more welfare
assistance to people who are without
jobs and in the process penalizing the
people with jobs. The next section
went on to describe why and how the
whole scheme is such a grand fix.
Both parties provided enough
evidence to support both economic
success of the nation, as well as the
doom of the nation. At the end of the
article, the readers were asked to
take a survey. The poll showed
interesting results. Only 3% of the
people were undecided, everybody
else was either for or against it, with
an almost even split. I was surprised
that the poll results showed most
readers that were so sure of the
outcome. Most people will believe if
they see evidence. Most people will
hope for a better future because an
“economic expert” has made the pre-
diction. Since we are so programmed
to look for evidence, it is sometimes
difficult to have the faith in the
unseen. What God asks of us is to
believe in Him completely and place
our entire trust in Him, regardless of
circumstances. When God provides,
the outcome is so amazing that all we
can and should do is rejoice and mar-
vel at His grace. Let our faith in God
get stronger with each experience.
Let our acceptance of God reflect our
faith and trust in Him. With all the
uncertainties around us, let us be
certain of at least one thing – making
it to heaven. Oh, and I fell into the

True Spiritual Health Care
President Obama signed

We have to consider seriously, as
Christians, the effort taken to reform
our spiritual healthcare. We claim
that we are the custodians of the
true faith, but we fail to practice what
is believed. We are to be different
from those who live for the “here
and now”, whose god is their
stomach and whose glory is their
shame. Even in spiritual starvation,
they say, “I am rich, I have acquired
wealth and do not need a
thing” (Rev. 3:17). The condition of
the church in Laodicea is seen
everywhere. Spiritual renewal and
reformation are far away from such
kind of people.

Every other Christian I meet
nowadays seems to be on a " Daniel
Fast". Pastors are promoting it, and
churches seem to be capitalizing on
it - all in pursuit of a radiant glow and
an improvement in personal
appearance. A close look at them
reveals not too radiant results. Quite
ignored is the fact that the radiance
that emanated from Daniel was not

health? It is not possible by our
efforts, but everything is possible
with God. He always works through

Have a pure heart: This means
having a heart that is committed to
living a life that is completely
pleasing to God. The Lord searches
every heart and understands every
motive behind all thoughts. Having a
pure heart means living for the sole
purpose of God - glorifying Him in
everything. The central teaching of
the Bible is found in the Sermon on
the Mount: “blessed are the pure in
heart, they shall see God.” The
indwelling word of God is a
powerful force to resist sin in life.

Pastor Brutally Attacked

On March 8, Pastor Ravi Chandran was brutally attacked by Hindu extremists in Mysore, Karnataka State. More than
10 extremists, who forcibly entered a believer’s home where the pastor was holding a prayer meeting, attacked
Pastor Ravi. “The extremists entered the house and began abusing the pastor and the believers gathered there,” a
witness said. “They hit the pastor with glass bottles, as well as kicked and punched him mercilessly, after which they
disappeared from the venue.” Pastor Ravi suffered severe injuries to his leg and head. Please pray for Pastor Ravi,

Book of Ephesians is written by
apostle, Paul. It is also called as
Queen of the letters. In this epistle,
Paul is teaching the Ephesians
believers great spiritual lessons
regarding unity in the body of
Christ, the armor of God, and so
on. Paul deals with some serious
issues here. We will be looking
three phrases that he used in the
book of Ephesians. These are: “put
off the self”, “put off falsehood“, and
“put on the full armor of God“.
In v.22, apostle Paul says ”Put off
your old self which is being
corrupted by deceitful desires.“ In
the previous verses, Paul says that
we are the part of one body and
should have unity among our-
selves. Paul says that if we want
to live as children of light, we
must put off our old self. In other,
each of us has to deny himself so
that we can have unity among
ourselves. It is our old selves that
hinder us from having unity
among ourselves. Jesus said,
when He was in this world, “Deny
yourself and take the cross follow
me. If anyone cannot deny
himself, he cannot be my
disciple. When we say that we are
the child of God, or that we the
body of Christ, we are saying with
apostle Paul that “It is no longer I,
but Christ lives in me.” Dear
brothers and sisters, let us deny
ourselves, and let us be the let-
ters of Christ so everyone who
reads us will come to know
about the saving knowledge of
Jesus Christ.

If my life was a credit report and I was trying to obtain salvation, based on my score I wouldn't get it. My history shows that I've
been delinquent in praise, past due in prayer, my worship has been in collections and I've missed a few payments (tithes) or only
paid half (you know how we put $20 in the basket and feel like we've done God a favor). Not to mention that my debt (sin) to
income (blessings) ratio is too high. BUT I thank God that I was able to file bankruptcy (repentance) and it cleared me of all of my
debt (sin). Now I have a co-signer (Jesus) whose score is FLAWLESS... Not one Blemish (sin) on his report. So now.... I QUALIFY
for EVERYTHING! Most importantly I've inherited eternal life and I didn't have to put one penny down.

All of my closing costs were covered when Jesus laid down His life for me!!!! I hear that my future home has all of the upgrades
too. Hardwood floors? Please!! I'll be walking on gold! Thank You Lord for Your unmerited mercy, grace & favor!!

I have been a part of junior chior since
it began last year, and I've learned a
few things over the last few months.
Whether it’s junior choir or praise and
worship on Sunday, the hearts and
minds of the singers and instrument
players should try to fulfill one thing -
exalting God. According to John in the
book of Revelation,
“Thou hast created all things,
and for thy pleasure they are
and were created”
Each and every one of us was
created to please God and if our
worship does not come from the
depths of our hearts, then it will not
please him. When Abel and Cain
brought sacrifices to the Lord, only
Abel's sacrifice was accepted
because his sacrifice pleased God,
yet Cain's sacrifices were rejected by
the Lord, for he had solely brought his
sacrifice for the namesake of it. God is
not pleased in us putting on a show for
others, but in our ability to stand
before him in full humility of ourselves,
and still be able to worship him with a
humble heart.
Amos 5 reads:
“I hate all your show and
pretense- the hypocrisy of
your religious festivals and
solemn assemblies. Away
with your noisy hymns of
praise. I will not listen to the
music of your harps. Instead,
I want to see a mighty flood
of justice, an endless river of
righteous living”
We come before the Lord to worship
him, solely to give him praise. We
stand on the stage not for a show, or
an image, but to lead the audience
into worship. We shouldn't watch
those on stage and say that they can
not lead us into to worship, because
it is our responsibility to come to
church with an attitude of worship,
whether we feel others are capable
of that or not. God has been faithful
to us through all of our failings and
sin, so why is it so difficult to faithfully
worship Him when we "don't feel like
it"? We shouldn't stand motionless
on the ground, before our Creator
who was willing to breathe life into
us. We owe our lives unto to him, for
we do not come before him, as
anything of worth, yet he still calls us
his own, for that we owe him our
everything. We should come to
church to praise God for what he has
done, not to worry about what others
think, for the Bible says in Matthew
18:20:
"Where two or more gather in
my name, I shall be there."

Cots will be placed in the foyer for those who say, "Sunday is my only day to sleep in."
There will be a special section with lounge chairs for those who feel that our pews are too hard.
Eye drops will be available for those with tired eyes from watching TV late Saturday night.
We will have steel helmets for those who say, "The roof would cave in if I ever came to church."
Blankets will be furnished for those who think the church is too cold, and fans for those who say it is too hot.
Scorecards will be available for those who wish to list the hypocrites present.
Relatives and friends will be in attendance for those who can't go to church and cook dinner, too.
We will distribute "Stamp Out Stewardship" buttons for those that feel the church is always asking for money.
One section will be devoted to trees and grass for those who like to seek God in nature.
Doctors and nurses will be in attendance for those who plan to be sick on Sunday.
We will provide hearing aids for those who can't hear the preacher and cotton wool for those who think he's too loud!
