THE TRUTH ABOUT ANGELS

by Taffi Dollar | 27 Apr 2016

SUMMARY
It is written that where sin abounds, grace abounds more, and in these last
days, there is an increase in angelic activities. The enemy will do anything he
can to distract us and divert our attention from Gods power and His Word, but
God is stronger. The Bible says that greater is He Who is in us than he who is in
the world, and as Believers, we know that this is not just a clich. We have a
force inside of us that is greater than any spirit of the enemy. When we know
the promises of God and we realize what is rightfully ours, we can expect God
to do supernatural works.
A. As servants of God, angels have certain duties and responsibilities.
1.
Angels are spirits sent on our behalf. We read about their divine
intervention in keeping Daniel alive in the lions den, opening the cell door
when Paul was in prison, and appearing to Mary and Elizabeth to announce
the birth of Jesus and John the Baptist.
a.

Which of the angels did God say to sit at His right hand? They are
all servants, sent to assist those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:13,
14, AMP).
b.
Bless God, you His angels, who excel in strength, obey His Word,
and heed His voice. Affectionately praise Him (Psalm 103:20, 21, AMP).
2.
Let those who favor my righteous cause shout for joy and say, let the
Lord be magnified, Who wants His servants to prosper. I shall praise thee all
day long (Psalm 35:27, 28).
a.

One of the tasks assigned to the angels is to assist in our

prosperity.
B. There are several ways angels interact in the Bible.
1.
They minister to people.
a.

Gabriel came to Mary and Elizabeth to tell them who they would
give birth to.
They bring messages from God.

a.

3.

Sometimes we can entertain angels without being aware of it.

Other times it is a major event, like when the angel rolled away the huge
boulder from Jesus tomb and announced He had risen.
They help deliver individuals in danger, and nations in trouble.

4.

They administer Gods judgment.

2.

C. Gods elect operate in powerful ways.

1.
When we read about the prophets Joel and Elijah, we see illustrations of
angelic power and ability.
a.

God shall utter His voice before His army, and His camp is very
great. He who executes His Word is strong. The day of the Lord is very
great and very terrible, and who can endure it? (Joel 2:11, AMP).

b.

Elijah and his servant were surrounded by enemy armies. Elijah

prayed for God to open his servants eyes to the spiritual army of angels
around them, and God did so (2 Kings 6:15-17).
2.
Those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High live under the
shadow of the Almighty, Whose power no foe can withstand. They shall
remain stable and fixed. I will say of the Lord that He is my refuge, my
fortress, and my God (Psalm 91:1-16, AMP).
a.
To dwell in this place, we must be in right-standing with God. The
enemy is not welcome here, and he cannot gain access to it.
b.
We must keep the Word in our mouth and verbally confess it every
day.
