Summary & Overview

TORAH
Leviticus 25:1 | The Sabbatical Year
Leviticus 25:8 | The Year of Jubilee
Leviticus 26:1 | Rewards for Obedience

This weeks Torah Portion is all about the benefits of the Promised Land where
Israel experienced Rest, Freedom, and Blessings. These themes are a flow on
and continuation of the Marriage Covenant that started in Egypt, being set free
as slaves, and ends within the Promised Land, the Kingdom of YHVH. Last time
we looked at maintaining the Lampstand inside the House of YHVH and what
part we have to play in providing the oil to keep the Spirit of YHVH present in
our midst. This week we will look at the next stages of the Hebrew Marriage and
how it links up with the Sabbath, Shavuot and the Year of Jubilee.
The former Torah Portions stars of by YHVH speaking to Moses. This Torah
Portion is different where it starts off by saying; YHVH spoke to Moses on the
Mountain. Har means mountain or a high place and a mountain usually
represents a unique connection with YHVH and wherever you read; he went up
a mountain in Scripture, it symbolises the person entering the presence of
YHVH, ready to receive a Word from Him.
The previous time Moses went up the Mountain, YHVH gave Him the Ten
Commandments and the Instructions regarding the Tabernacle. The other
Commandments were given to him inside the Tabernacle and inside His tent. It
is if YHVH is using the Mountain to indicate the importance of some
Commandments to others. It is as if YHVH calls Moses up the Mountain when
He has something very important to say.
In the Previous Torah Portion, YHVH gave Moses the Commandments
regarding the Appointed Times, and the first Feast He mentioned was the
Sabbath, explaining the importance thereof. It is as if the Sabbath is the
building block for the rest of the Moedim (Festivals). We looked at the
Festivals about the Menorah Pattern and saw Shavuot, the Feast celebrating
the receiving of the Commandments on Mount Sinai, is represented on the
Middle Branch, making Shavuoth the pinnacle of all the Festivals.
This Torah Portion starts off with YHVH speaking to Moses on the Mountain
again, starting with the Sabbath, elaborating on its importance and why it is to
be kept. It is as if YHVH is underlining the importance of the Sabbath twice, first,
by it mentioning it on the Mountain, and second, by using it as an opening
statement. The Sabbath was the first Commandment YHVH gave in the Garden
of Eden before the Commandant of the Two Trees.

1
It seems like YHVH is using the Sabbath as the opening statement before
announcing anything to His people. This proofs that the Sabbath is not only the
First Commandment in Scripture but also the most important Commandment to
keep from YHVHs point of view. We will now look at why the Sabbath is so
important to YHVH.
We saw in Torah Portion Emor, the Commandant of the Sabbath preceding the
Moedim (Feasts), and we saw Shavuot is the pinnacle of all the Feasts, that is
connected to the Mountain. In this weeks Torah Portion we see the Sabbath is
linked to the mountain and precedes the Commandments regarding Sabbatical
Years and Jubilee Years, that has to do with entering the Land of Promise.
These commandments are given on the Mountain as well, making them
important from YHVHs point of view.
The Sabbath connects three physical places; the Garden of Eden, the
Mountain, and the Land of Promise or Kingdom of YHVH. This means that the
Sabbath is critical in getting you back into the pre-fallen Garden of Eden state
or the Land of Promise (New Jerusalem). The other interesting thing we see is
that all three these places represent man walking with YHVH in His presence.

It is not only the Sabbath-link that allows us to connect with YHVH, but the
Festivals or Appointed Times fulfil the same function because of Shavuot and
its connection to the Mountain, the place on Earth between Eden and the New
Jerusalem.
Q What makes the Sabbath and the Festivals so important?
This shows that the Sabbath and the Festivals are key to restore you back into
the Graden of Eden or New Jerusalem. Previously, we elaborated on the Feasts
and how they represent the Work of the Messiah and that this Work is required
to take His people to the Promised Land. The Work of the Bride is to guard and
keep these Moedim so that She can be ready, waiting with the lampstand in He
window for Her Groom to come, to fulfil the final part of the Marriage Covenant.
We have touched on how the Feasts are unique times appointed when YHVH
speaks creative words (emor) over you, but there is something even more
profound. These three places, the Garden, the Mountain and the Promised
Land have to do with restoring the Connection we lost with YHVH, to re-connect
us back to His Presence so that we can hear His Voice again and walk with
Him.
The Sabbath is found in the Garden, the Mountain, the Promised Land as well
as in the Festivals. This makes the Sabbath and the Festivals the connecting
force or means to open the door to the other side, where YHVH exists.
Yshua is the Way that leads to the Father, and He does His work in us on the
Sabbath and the Festivals.

2
Both the Sabbath and the Feasts exist in time, and we are created under time,
moving through time towards eternal life where time does not exist or does not
matter. YHVH gave us the means to break through this time barrier through
participating in His Appointed Times, the times where you can break the fabric
between the physical and spiritual and cross over to connect with YHVH
directly, worshipping Him in Spirit and Truth. If you do not acknowledge these
times or aware of their significance, you will not have a proper re-connection
into YHVHs Presence. It is not to say that you cannot experience Him any other
day, it is just that these days are designed to allow us to meet with our Father in
a more special way. We will now look at the most important Appointed Time,
namely the Sabbath.

The Sabbath
"Sabbath" is the Hebrew word tbs - "Shin
Bet - Tav," that means: to rest, to sit still, the seat
of authority, dwelling place.

Looking at the first two letters; bs , we get the

word "Sheba" that means: seven, an oath,
promise.
Spiritual Application: The Sabbath is a Seat of Authority in your life, the Seat
you allow YHVH to sit, so that He can rule as King over your life. The Sabbath is
an oath between us and YHVH that releases His promises if we follow and
acknowledge His day of rest.

Messiah working on the Sabbath

There are numerous examples in the New
Testament where Yshua worked on the
Shabbat, the question is; did He break the
Law concerning the Shabbat and is this
an example of Him teaching us to break
the Torah? The answer is no; He never
taught anyone to break the Torah and
doing mitzvots or good deeds on the
Sabbath is permitted in the Torah. All He
ever broke was the man made laws that
the Pharisees made to fence in the
Sabbath and kept the people from
breaking it. There are over 1800 laws or fences regarding the Sabbath according
to the Pharisees but only a few explaining the Sabbath in the Torah. To explain the
work, He did we have to go to the Book of John and study one of these examples
where He broke the Sabbath. This will clear up all misunderstanding and
misperceptions regarding Yshua breaking the Torah, specifically the Sabbath
Commandment.
Example: A Man was lying at the pool of Bethesda (pool of kindness), and
there was no one available to carry him into the water after it moved. He was in
this ill state for thirty-eight years. When he saw Yshua, he asked Him to help
him into the pool after the water moved. Yshua responded by instructing him to
take up his bed and walk.

3
Spiritual Application: When you have a problem, you typically ask YHVH
to move you, but He actually wants you to stand up and walk in faith,
doing something.
What is interesting is that the Oral Law had 39 precepts concerning work on
the Sabbath, explaining 39 categories of things that are not permitted on the
Sabbath and one of them, the last one listed, was the one Yshua told the man
to do, breaking commandment number 39. This number associate with the man
because it was his 39th year of illness, and Yshua told him to break the 39th law
of the Pharisees.
These 39 precepts were made up by the work that is required to construct the
Tabernacle. The last work (no# 39) was forbidding someone to take
something and carry it to a different location. When the Pharisees confronted
Yshua, He told them that His Father is working up to now, and so is He. This
was like fat on the fire, and they wanted to stone Him. Did Yshua break the
Torah? No, He broke man-made traditions, not the Sabbath.
Spiritual Application: In the physical, Yshua asked the man to carry his
bed, but in the spiritual, Yshua took the mans infirmity and
transferred it away from him to another location, and in return,
moved health, from this place, back to the man. When you stop
work and enter His Rest on a Sabbath, you enable YHVH and give
Him time to work in your life, constructing your
Tabernacle within you. This time is set apart for you
and YHVH, and why it is so important for you to
rest on this restoration-day, so that He can do
work in you, taking things away, moving them far
away to another place, so that He can replace it with
His new things, that will enable you to be Like Him
and walk with Him.

Counting of the Days, Weeks and Years

Lev 25:8-9 And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself,
seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall
be to you forty-nine years. 9 Then you shall cause the trumpet of the
Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of
Atonement, you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your
land.
Lev 23: 15-16 And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the
Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering:
seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the
seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to YHVH.

Two things stand out from these passages; both Shavuot (Pentecost) and
Jubilee are determined by counting of seven Sabbaths, one is determined by
counting seven weekly Sabbaths (Shavuot), or 49 says, the other is determined
by counting Sabbatical years, counting of seven times seven years, or 49 years.
The seven-day cycle pattern applies when calculating seven Thousand Year
periods as well, to determine the Seventh Millennium, the time when Messiah
will return.

4
Millennial Sabbath Preparation for the Bride: One day is as a thousand
years, and a thousand years is as one day unto YHVH.
Yshua stated that He is Master of the Sabbath; He is
the Owner and the creator of the Sabbath, and it has
prophetic significance to those who keep it. The
Sabbath is a picture of the Great Sabbath, the
Thousand Years of Peace, that is to come. This is
when the final stage of the Marriage Festival will take
place. This is the Rest that we will enter as the Bride
that we will celebrate for a thousand years with Him.
Heb 4:3,11 For we who have believed do enter into the rest, as He said, "I
have sworn in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest;" although
the works were finished from the foundation of the world. (11) Let us,
therefore, do our utmost to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same
example of disobedience.
YHVH created everything in six days, with man created on the sixth day, and
stopped from His Work on the Seventy day. We as humanity takes six thousand
years to create, and after our completion into His Likeness, we will enter into
that Seventh Day of Rest with Him.
We saw Sabbaths of Days, Sabbaths of Weeks, Sabbaths of years,
Sabbaths of Sabbaths of years and Sabbaths of Millenia. These
Sabbaths are all Cycles that has something very profound because
YHVH revealed these things to Moses on the Mountain. These
cycles form circles that represents a ring that is put on the finger
of the Bride, as part of the Marriage Covenant between YHVH and
His people.
Spiritual Application: How would you feel if you are married, and your
partner takes off their wedding ring when he/she goes out of the house to
do something? You will feel dreadful because it will seem that your partner
does not want the world to know that he/she is in covenant with you. You
will still be married, but you will not feel good about your relationship.
Remember you entered the first stage of the Marriage Covenant at
Passover, and according to the Hebrew Marriage Pattern, you are
Engaged and should wear His ring to show that you are set apart for Him.
The Appointed Times are the cycles that make up a beautiful ring on
your hand, to show the world you are Engaged to be Married to Yshua,
awaiting the final part of your Marriage. That is why YHVH takes the
Sabbath very seriously because it is a sign between Him and us, which we
are set apart unto Him, a sign to the world that we are engaged to Him.

The Sabbath, a Wedding Gift: The Torah

gives the word Sabbath (Shabbat) a female
gender. Within the Jewish community, Sabbath
is called, the Queen of Days. It has the female
gender because it symbolises the bride of the
Messiah. All the Feasts and the Sabbath are
wedding gifts from Yshua to His Bride that She
can enjoy before He returns for Her.

5
As you open up the gift of the Sabbath every week, you are reminded of
Him, His love and compassion towards you and the rest He prepared so
that you can spend time with Him. He is with you in Spirit, and you can
have fellowship with Him on these set-apart days.
We acknowledge the Sabbath as a weekly reminder that we as the Bride of
Messiah need to be ready for His Coming. As the sun sets every Friday, all your
preparation work should be done, and you need to be ready before the Sabbath
starts. This will allow you to practice to be prepared on a weekly basis. Time
does not determine when the Sabbath begins, for example, starting at 7 PM every
Friday evening. No, it is the sun that determines when the new day starts, every
time the sun sets and darkness covers the earth, that is when the Sabbath begins.
In the same way, will darkness cover the earth in the form of the Tribulation
before the 7th Millennial Sabbath begins.

The Connection between Shavuot (Pentecost) and

Jubilee (Day of Atonement)
The Sabbath is determined by the counting of days, Shavuot is determined by
the counting of weeks and the Shmittah or Sabbatical year is calculated by the
counting of years, and the Jubilee is determined by the counting of Sabbatical
years, similar to the counting of weeks. This makes Shavuot similar to Jubilee
in the way they are determined, and we will now look at these two Feasts about
each other to gain wisdom regarding these times.
Shavuot is the Feast that Celebrates the receiving of the Torah on Mount Sinai
and was fulfilled by YHVHs Spirit that was poured out on His people in the
upper room during this celebration. The connection was made prophetically
between the Torah and YHVHs Spirit as confirmed in these passages:
Jer 31:33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of
Israel after those days, says YHVH: I will put My Torah in their minds,
and write it on their hearts, and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be
My people.
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of
Israel after those days, says YHVH: I will put My laws in their mind
and write them on their hearts, and I will be their Elohim, and they shall
be My people.
Shavuot is determined by the counting of seven weeks or Sabbaths and falls
the day after the seventh Sabbath. Seventh is the Hebrew word shevi-e that
comes from the word shevi-em that means seventy. It is first used in Scripture
in Gen 4:24 where Lamech, the 6th generation descendant of Cain, killed
someone by accident (some say it is his son Tubalcain, skilled in creating art
effects and weapons in brass and iron). Lamech said that Cain was avenged
seven times if someone killed him, but he would be avenged seventy times
seven (490). Is this related to the counting of seven seven-year periods that
equals 49 years (Jubilee)? The answer is yes because every Hebrew number in
multiples of ten, is seen is linked together and has the same meaning. For
example; 1 has the same meaning as 10, 100 and 1000. In the same way is 49
the same as 490, linking these two thoughts.

6
Spiritual Application: The second sin that was committed after the fall of
Adam, was when Cain murdered his brother Abel. YHVH placed a mark
on Cain to show everyone that Cain was not to be touched or killed by
man for the sin he committed, making this mark a covering over Cain
that preserved him.
Q What is the significance of this mark YHVH placed on Cain?
The answer is found in this passage where Lamech will be avenged, 490
times. This shows that Lamech was covered for the sin he committed,
just like Cain, until the time associated with 490 or 49, the time of Jubilee,
when all debts are cancelled. Jubilee is the time where all slaves are set
free, all debt are cancelled, and everyone who lost their land could receive
it back, free from any obligation, even if you lost it through your own wrong
doing.
The same mark that was on Cain also came on Lamech, six generations
after, making Lamech the seventh generation from Cain. We live in the
sixth Millennium and will enter the time of Jubilee on the starting of the
seventh Millennium, and we have a mark that covers us until that time.

Mark is the word oth t va that is a spelt Aleph-Vav-Tav and contains

the symbol of Messiah, the Aleph-Tav, with the symbol of man, the Vav,
in the middle. Yshua became the Redeemer Whose Blood would provide
a covering for mankind, until the time of Yom Kippur, on a Jubilee cycle, to
set everyone free from sin, guilt, and shame. This mark or sign is
associated with the signs in time, called the Appointed Times, of which
the Sabbath is the main mark that is upon believers that follow Him. This
mark will preserve and cover you, until that last Yom Kippur, that final
Jubilee year, when Messiah Yshua will return for His Bride.
Lamechs number 490 is also associated with Shavuot, the time when the
Bride engages into the second part of the Marriage Covenant, making Her
vows to the Groom. This time (counting 49), is the time of establishing
the Covenant and is associated with the time of Yom Kippur and with the
time of Jubilee (counting 49), that aligns with the final part of the Marriage
Covenant at Yshuas Second Coming. All these times synchronise and
aligns, to create this Great and Final Day where Man or Adam will be
Restored back to the Garden, starting the 1000 year Sabbath.

Shavuot and the Marriage Covenant

The Ketubah is Hebrew for a marriage contract and
has been a tradition since Mt. Sinai and the giving
of Torah. The intent of this tradition is powerful and
universal. The word "Ketubah" comes from the root
Kaf-Tav-Bet, meaning writing that relates to the
writing of the Covenant or the Torah. The ketubah
is the marriage contract between a man and
woman. The ketubah spells out the husband's
obligations to the wife during marriage and is a
binding document of confidence, trust, conditions
of inheritance, and requirements regarding the support of children.

7
This Marriage Covenant or Ketubah is revealed in the Book of Jeremiah and
started with the first part of the Marriage when Israel left Egypt, on the Feast of
Passover.
Jer 31:31-33 Behold, the days are coming, says YHVH, when I will
make a new Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of
Judah 32 not according to the Covenant that I made with their fathers in
the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt,
My Covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says
YHVH. 33 But this is the Covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, says YHVH: I will put My law in their minds, and write
it on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
The Marriage Covenant is established through vows made by both the Groom
and the Bride. The first set of vows is found in Exo 6 where YHVH gave His
promises to His Bride and is represented by the themes of the Four Cups that is
taken during the Passover Covenant Meal.
Exodus 6:6-7 Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, I am YHVH, and I
will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will
deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an
outstretched arm and with great judgments. Then I will take you for
My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am YHVH
your Elohim, who brought you out from under the burdens of the
Egyptians.
1. I will take you out" Remove you from being a slave from
under the authority of Satan.
2. "I will save you" Take away your fallen leprous state and
fallen nature through the Sacrifice of the Lamb of YHVH that was
slain on Passover.
3. "I will redeem you" Prepare you as the Bride, taking you
through a cleansing process to be presentable before the King.
4. "I will take you " Allow you to enter into the Kingdom of
YHVH and live with Him forever after His Restoration Process is
complete.
The second part of the Marriage is
concluded with the Bride giving Her vows
to the Groom on Mount Sinai through the
Ten Words or Ten Commandments.
Exodus 19:18-19 And it came to
pass on the third day in the
morning, that there were thunders
and lightning, and a thick cloud
upon the mount, and the sound of a
shofar exceedingly loud; so that all
the people who were in the camp
trembled. And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet
with Elohim.

The ancient Rabbis teach that YHVH reached out from the heavenly at Mt. Sinai
and kissed the face of Israel under His Chuppa (marriage canopy) which is what

8
the thick cloud is hovering over Mt. Sinai represented. The marriage canopy or
Chuppa is where under Jewish people get in a traditional Jewish wedding. The
Chuppa symbolises YHVHs covenants, promises, and covering. The Ten
Commandments are our promises to YHVH that establishes this Marriage
Covenant between us and Him, the written Contract, or Ketubah.
We read in Jer 31:33 But this is the Covenant that I will make with the house
of Israel after those days, says YHVH: I will put My Torah in their minds, and
write it on their hearts This is the fulfilment of the Feast of Shavuot, where
YHVH give us His Spirit as a sign of accepting our vows as His Bride, sealing
this Contract with His Engagement Ring, His Holy Spirit.
The final part of the wedding will take place at His Second Coming where
Yshua will come and gather His Bride to live with Him forever in the House He
prepared for us.
John 14:1-4 Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in Elohim, also
believe in Me. 2 In My Fathers house are many mansions; if it
were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to
Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you
know, and the way you know.
This gathering will happen in line with the Fall Festivals that starts with
Trumpets (Yom Teruah - Rapture), then Yom Kippur (Jubilee Judgement Day)
and after that we will live with Him as represented by Sukkot (Tabernacles) in
the New Jerusalem. [1 John 3:2]

Sabbatical Year or Shemitah Year

The Shemitah and Jubilee Commandments relates to the Land and only came
into play after they entered Canaan. These Commandments placed restrictions
on the Land, proving YHVH as the Owner. This is one of the main principles of
Real Estate Law where the owner can place restrictions on the property or land
because he/she is the owner. YHVH placed the first restriction on Time, when
He established the Sabbath. This proofs that He is the owner of all Times and
Seasons or Appointed Times. The following restriction was placed on the
Garden of Eden through the Commandment regarding the Two Trees. This
proofs that YHVH is the Owner of the Garden. In the same way, YHVH placed
restrictions on the Promised Land, linking the Garden of Eden to the Promised
Land, proving that YHVHs Plan is to restore His Creation back to the Garden
of Eden state. YHVHs Ownership of the Promised Land is confirmed through
both types of restrictions, namely Time and the Land, that has to do with
Sabbath Cycles and harvesting food. These two correlated with the first two
restrictions YHVH placed on Times, the Sabbath and on the Land,
harvesting food from the trees in the Garden.
As soon as the Israelites settled in the Promised Land, they began to count and
observe seven-year cycles. Every cycle would culminate in a Sabbatical year,
known as Shemitah, that means: to release.

These periods are significant as seen in historical events that happened around
the ending or beginning of these seven-year cycles. The Second

9
Holy Temple was destroyed at the end of such a period and the years after that
proofs the significance of these Cycles:
1917- America rises to power ending World War I as well as the rising of
the Communist State of the Soviet Union. The defeat of Germany and
the fall of the Czar of Russia, the fall the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and
the fall of the Turkish-Ottoman Empire.
1938- German Nazis attack Jewish businesses and burn Jewish
Synagogues on Kristallnacht (the Night of Broken Glass.)
1945- Nazi Germany is defeated. The Atomic bomb is dropped on Japan
that ended World War II. Japan signs peace treaty the same week of the
end of the Shemitah year. The United States becomes a military
superpower. The U.S. dollar becomes the world standard currency.
1973- The United States Supreme Court declares that Americas can kill
their unborn babies. The World Trade Center is completed which is a
symbol of Americas economic strength. America loses its first war to
Vietnam. Nixon takes America off the Gold standard. This sets in motion
the decline of the U.S. dollar.
1980- The U.S. Supreme Court bans the posting of the Ten
Commandments in Public Schools. Thus God is now completely banned
from our public schools in America.
2001- The World Trade Center buildings (the symbols of Americas
economic strength) are destroyed by a terrorist attack. One week later
Wall Street has one of its greatest collapses on the last day of the
Shemitah Year.
2008- Exactly seven years later, Wall Street suffers its largest decline.
America is now the worlds biggest debtor nation.
2014-2015- In Sept of 2014, we start a new Shemitah Year. This
happens in connection with a Tetrad of 4 Blood Moons which all occur on
Biblical feast days.
[All information on the effects of the Shemitah by Jonathan Cahn]

The Shemittah is like a smaller version of a Jubilee Year, a time of liberation, a

time to release debts and a time for the land to rest. This aspect of Shemitah
observance is known as shemittat kesafim, release of money [debts]. That is
probably why the world economics adhere to this cycle because it is a Spiritual
Law similar to the physical law of gravity, that you adhere to, whether you like it
or not.
During the Shemittah year, the residents of the Land of Israel must completely
cease from cultivating their fields. They also surrender personal ownership of
their fields; whatever produce grows on its own is considered communal
property, free for anyone to take. This aspect of the Shemitah year is known
as shemittat karka, or release of the land.

10
Jubilee Year
The Year of Jubilee is the Appointed Time
that coincides with Yom Kippur or Day of
Atonement. Jubilee comes from the
Hebrew word "yobel" and refers to the blast
of the shofar on the Day of Atonement
announcing the jubilee year.
Lev 25:9 Then you shall cause the
trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the
tenth day of the seventh month; on
the Day of Atonement you shall make
the trumpet to sound throughout all
your land.
The Year of Jubilee was to come into force after the Israelites took possession
of the Promised Land: "When ye come into the land which I give you." [Lev
29:2]. The Year of Jubilee is connected with the Sabbatical year and falls on the
seventh Sabbatical year. For most people, this celebration occurred only once
in their lifetime, and for some not even that, as it occurred only once every 50
years. During this year of Jubilee, all Israelites who had sold themselves into
slavery were set free, and all land that had been lost or sold was returned to its
original owners. This meant that no Israelite could ever be in permanent
slavery; nor could any Israelite permanently lose his /her inheritance.
We are currently in a Jubilee Year that started 14 Sept 2015 and will end Sept
2016. Here are some interesting facts regarding the 2015-2016 Jubilee Year:
This year is the 40th Jubilee since Yshuas Death and Ressurection: The
number 40 means Work of the Messiah and repeatedly occurs throughout
Scripture. For example, it rained for 40 days and 40 nights, Moses was on
Mount Sinai for 40 days, Yshua fasted in the desert for 40 days before He was
tempted by Satan. After Yshuas Resurrection, He remained on the earth for
40 days before He ascended to Heaven. The period of 40 in the Bible
is understood as a period of repentance and redemption for past sins. Will
this 40th Jubilee finalise the end time of repentance and redemption for
mankind, and usher in the start of a new era? Many believers feel something
important is about to happen.
This year is the 70th Jubilee since Joshua entered the Promised Land: The
numbers seven and seventy both have special meanings in the Bible. YHVH
created the Heavens and Earth and ceased from work on the seventh day. The
number seven is very significant and here are a few examples:

YHVH told the Children of Israel that if they did not keep the sabbaticals
and Jubilees, they would be taken out of their land so the land could
enjoy its Sabbath rest. Lev 26:27-35.
The Children of Israel neglected the sabbaticals and Jubilees for 430
years. During this time, the land missed 70 Sabbath years. Eze 4:1-6.
The children of Israel were taken into captivity to Babylon for 70 years so
that the Land could rest. Jer 25:8-12, 2 Chr 26:21

11
If the Children of Israel returned to Israel on a Jubilee Year after their 70-
year captivity in approx. 584 BCE that is 52 Jubilees ago, if 2016 is a
Jubilee year. (Interestingly, there are 52 weeks in a year)
Matt 18:22 Yshua tells Peter to forgive not just seven times, but seventy
times seven. So seven and seventy have the Biblical meaning of perfect
completion. Seventy "sevens" - 70 Sabbatical cycles 70 x 7 = 490
years that correlates with the sign of Lamech and the Jubilee year
(counting 49). The fulfilment of the 70 Sabbaticals began in 457 BC and
ended 490 years later in 34 AD. Yshua died in 31 AD in the middle of the
70th Sabbatical cycle.
Seventy "sevens" - 70 Jubilee cycles 70 x 7 x 7 +1 = 3,431 years
Seventy "sevens" are decreed for YHVHs people to put an end to sin
and to bring in everlasting righteousness. This points to the time when
YHVHs people will no longer transgress His Torah. They will have
everlasting righteousness brought into their lives, and they will never sin
again. The 70 Jubilees points to the possible season of
Messiahs Second Coming. The fulfilment of the 70 Jubilees began in
1416 BC when the Children of Israel entered Canaan. This time will end
3,431 years later, in the Jubilee year of 2016 AD. Is this the starting of
the time of the end or are we to wait for another Jubilee Cycle of 50 years
(if we counted the Jubilee Cycle correctly in the first place)? No man will
know the exact time or hour, but we must be watchful of the Seasons or
Appointed Times to be ready.

Cycles of 70 Unit of Time Total Years What happens at the End?

70 x 1 year 70 years 70 years Captivity ends from literal Babylon
70 x 7 years 70 sabbaticals 490 years Time of Messiah's First Coming
70 x 49 +1 years 70 Jubilees 3,431 years Possible Season of Messiah's Second
Coming - Captivity ends from
spiritual Babylon

We see the correlation between the Sabbatical year and the Jubilee Year and
the consequences for breaking the Sabbath principle that ends up in exile and
captivity. Breaking the Sabbath leads to captivity but the Jubilee is there to set
you free after the Appointed Time.
So this current 70th Jubilee Year is very significant to watch for the signs of the
times and the fulfilment of Prophecy that will confirm whether this Jubilee Year
will be the final one or the time YHVH is starting the last stage of His
Restoration Plan.
