Project Work Synopsis:


Project title: A STUDY ON MARKET STRATEGIES, DISTRIBUTION
CHANNELS OF MYSORE MILK UNION LIMITED AND CUSTOMER
SATISFACTION TOWARDS NANDINI MILK PRODUCTS.
INTRODUCTION:
The current global business is extremely competitive and todays consumers are willing to
switch from product to product in search of better product and service. The importance of
customer satisfaction is increasing because of competition. To attract and retain customers
organization need to focus on determining the needs of customers and providing them to
attain customer satisfaction.
Marketing, advertising, market segmentation, market positioning, target market, channels of
distribution are the critical activities made by the organization to meet the customer
satisfaction. In reference to this the project work will be carried out in Mysore Milk Union
limited (Nandini) to study the market strategies, channels of distribution and customer
satisfaction towards nandini products.

PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION AND PROBLEM FORMULATION:


The problem identified in Mysore Milk Union Limited in marketing section was drop in
annual sales due to increasing competition from the competitors in and around mysore in
developing marketing strategies, channels of distribution and customer satisfaction towards
nandini products.

OBJECTIVES:
1. To study the marketing process of Nandini products.
2. To identify the market performance and to compare various parameters of marketing
strategies.
3. To know how the company has been successful in encountering the aggressive market
strategies of competitors.
4. To study the channels of distribution of Mymul.
5. To identify the alternative channels of distribution of Mymul.
6. To study consumer buying behavior and factors influencing the purchase decision
process.
7. To know the customer satisfaction regarding Nandini products.

SCOPE OF STUDY:
1. This study helps in knowing how exactly the marketing of products takes place in a
company.
2. This study helps in analyzing current marketing strategies and market performance.
3. This study will attempt to identify strategies which could be helpful for formulating
suitable strategy.
4. It helps in analyzing of buying behavior which helps in market segmentation and
targeting.
5. This study helps in knowing alternative channels of distribution to maximize the
consumers at minimum cost.
6. This study helps in identifying what type of products or services to be provided to
increase the customers.
