Qualification for the post of Assistant Professor (Computer,

Mechatronics, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobile
Engineering)

Under Faculty of Engineering and Technology

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

1. The direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor (Computer,

Mechatronics, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Automobile engineering) of the
Ganpat University U. V. Patel College of Engineering under the faculty of
Engineering and Technology shall be on the basis of merit through
advertisement and selections by the duly constituted Selection Committee.
2. BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent
either in BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech

Preference will be given to:

1. Teaching, industrial research and / or professional experience in a reputed
organization;
2. Published work, such as research papers, books, and / or technical reports;
3. Who have Ph.D. Degree from reputed University.
4. Capacity to take self-lead.
For Competent candidate qualification criteria may be relaxed.

Qualification for the post of Assistant Professor

(Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Microbiology)

Under Faculty of Science

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA
1. The direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor (Chemistry, Physics,
Biotechnology, Microbiology) of the Ganpat University - Mehsana Urban
Institute of Sciences under the faculty of Science shall be on the basis of merit
through advertisement and selections by the duly constituted Selection
Committee.
2. Good academic record as defined by the university with at least 55% marks (or
an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at
the Masters Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an
equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
3. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the
National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test
accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
4. Notwithstanding anything contained in above point no 2 & 3, candidates, who
are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University
Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D.
Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the
minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment
of
Assistant
Professor
or
equivalent
positions
in
Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

1. The direct recruitment to the post of Principal, Associate Professor and

Assistant Professor (Architecture, Interior Design) of the Ganpat University
Institute of Architecture and Institute of Design under the faculty of
Architecture, Design and Planning shall be on the basis of merit through

2. Experience shall mean experience in Practice and/or Teaching and/or

Research in the field of Architecture. Experience in Practice may be
substantiated by Experience certificates from employers, Work orders,
Completion certificates & Sample Drawings of the projects undertaken as
the case may be.
3. **Full time faculty means a registered architect, who has put up full time
service as a faculty member with the institutions approved by COA, either
on regular (Permanent) or tenure basis.
4. Only candidates registered with Council of Architecture (COA) under the
provisions of the Architects Act, 1972 shall be eligible for the above posts.
5. The norm of First class at B.Arch. level may be relaxed for recruitment at
Assistant Professor level for deserving candidates having minimum TEN
years of experience. Such appointments shall be Tenure basis only.
