KOPEN RESOURCES SDN BHD is a 100% Bumiputra company that
specializes in the highly technical detention and security sector.

The company principle activities include Designing, Integration, Supply,

Installation, Commissioning, Service and Maintenance of detention and
security related equipments including electro-mechanical locks, door
sensitivity devices and system operation, intrusion detection systems,
electronic control and monitoring systems and data security systems.

Our Maintenance Methodology

The development of detention maintenance services is to offer a
pro active planned maintenance management concept, which
priorities preventive and predictive maintenance over corrective
maintenance program. Our planned maintenance program is
designed to improve the effectiveness of maintenance through the
use of systematic methods and plans. The primary objective of the
maintenance effort is to keep equipment functioning in a safe and

Steel is a major supplier of locks

2000 prison complexes of the US detention industry.
In Malaysia the Southern Steel locks have been installed in Penjara

Permintex Industries, a Bumiputra Company is one

of the 3 manufacturers mandated by The Ministry
of Finance to be the supplier to all government
projects. Permintex Industries is the manufacturer
of Lighting and Lighting Accessories. Permintex
Industries has two plants located in Jitra, Kedah
and Bukit Beruntung, Selangor.

Intrusion Detection System

GPS Standards is a major supplier of Buried Sensors. It is particularly

suitable for applications where the
site aesthetics has to be preserved
or in areas immune to
environmental and atmospheric
conditions They can be installed
under the surfaces with irregular
terrain profile with different
material and ensuring uniform coverage. The system has a high immunity
to environmental conditions, stable and reliable and the rate of external
interferences can be minimized.
GPS offers several products in their portfolio of intrusion detection
systems namely:
 GPS Plus System – Ground Perimeter System
 RFC System – Radio Frequency Cable System
 DPS System – Dual Technology Perimeter System
 PPS System – Perimeter Position System
 FAE 90 Taut Wire System

The FAE 90 has been installed in four facility and it usefulness has been
demonstrated over the years. The system is now in the process of being
upgraded with a new electromechanical switch, which further simplifies
its maintenance characteristics
