The FT 2 friability tester is now available with new

housing in Dr. Schleuniger Pharmatron design. All
proven functions and options of the FT 2 such as the fast
and
te quickly
through the user menu or printing via Ethernet LAN
remain 100 % identical.

Features and benefits

The front-load FT 2 friability tester with 1 or 2 drums
excels with simple and user-friendly operation and
fulfills all USP <1216> and EP 2.9.7 requirements.
Repeatability guaranteed.
The FT 2 features a maintenance-free drive with
programmable rotational speed (20
50 rpm) and
ensures gentle starting and stopping of the drum. The
anti-static drums are designed to fully engage with the
drive to prevent any slippage.
User-friendly operation.
At test start, the drum is automatically positioned for
tablet loading. An opening in the anti-static drum allows
tablets to be conveniently inserted without having to
remove the drum. At the end of the test, the tablets are
automatically discharged into a tray.
GMP/GLP-compliant reporting.
Weight readings before and after each test run can be
either entered manually or collected automatically from
a connected analytical balance. Printed reports include
test parameters, time and date, and serial number of the
instrument along with entry fields for user name and
product details.

We kindly inform all customers and SOTAX sales and
service partners that shipping of the FT 2 with new Dr.
Schleuniger Pharmatron housing will start in
November. There is no change in functionality, USP
compliance or pricing. The SOTAX-style FT 2 is no longer
available as of December 2014. All confirmed orders
(until 26 November 2014) will be shipped with the
SOTAX-style FT 2 design.

Only 2 article numbers change: the P/N of the main unit

and the P/N of the operating instructions all options
and most spare parts remain identical.

q-doc PC software allows you to collect and manage

data from all SOTAX and Dr. Schleuniger Pharmatron
physical testing instruments
from tablet hardness
testers to disintegration, friability, tap density and
flowability testers. In addition, other equipment such as
analytical balances (Mettler Toledo and Sartorius),
Mitutoyo thickness gauges, Preisser gauges, and
Mettler halogen moisture analyzers can be connected.
In a networked environment, batches only need to be
registered once in order to collect measurement data
from different instruments. Measurement reports and
batch reports can be electronically judged and released
directly in q-doc if desired
and import/export
functionalities for LIMS are readily available.
