Teacher Activity
A. Introduction
The teacher will introduce what the lesson is all about.
Good morning class! Today we are going to study the plants. If you look round
the surroundings, you will plants everywhere, even inside an office. Why?
Because they say plants represent life!
1.1 Sing a Song
(Teacher will sing the song first. Afterwards students will sing the song)
The Farmer Plants the Seeds
(Tune: The Farmer in the Dell)

B. Motivation and Activity
Do you have plants at home?
What are those plants you see in your surrounding?
Are the plants useful to us?
In our body we have different parts
What are the parts of the body?
Like our body, the plants have different parts too, plants also have its
characteristics and uses.
For us to know more about the plants, we are going to have an activity
(The teacher will divide the class into three and each group will be given an
activity to work on)

Identifying the parts of the plants.
Arrange the puzzle plants and label each part when it is form.

C. Lesson Proper
The activity youve done today is all about Parts of the plants
Again, what are the parts of the plants?
The common parts of the plants are the roots, stem, leaves, flower, and
fruits.
(Using the actual plant the teacher will discuss the plants part and its
function)
Showing the different parts of the plant
The roots holds the plants. They get water and nutrients from the soil
The stem holds the leaves, flower and fruits. It carries water from the
root to the leaves
The leaves makes the food for the plant. The leaves get the air and the
sunlight.
The flowers make seeds. It also makes place colourful and beautiful.
The fruit holds the seeds. The seeds protect the baby plant.
In our surroundings, we will be seeing different kinds of plants, different
leaves, fruits, flower, as well as roots. Though plants have differences,
plants are important to us. A plant gives us oxygen and also it gives fresh
air. It also gives food to eat. Plants also beautifies our environment.
We must take good care of the plants we have and gives them
importance.

D. Application
After the discussion, the teacher will provide an activity. The class will
be divide in to 3
Alright class I have here 3 sets of pots with a plant and a seed.
Outside is the soil and pales of water. Anybody from the class knows what we
are going to do?
Each team will be having 2 pots, a plant, and a seed. Each group will
be
having their garden shovel for the soil. We will plant these plants and seeds
The teacher will demonstrate what to do as she explain how to take care of the
plants.
Ok class, we are going to bring them outside now so we can water them,
remember class they need water and sunlight to make their food.

E. Summary
Wrap up everything. Again have a recap of the lesson:

larawan na ito ay may kinalalaman sa ating aralin

Ano anong larawan ng mga bagay ang inyong nakikita?


Sa tingin ninyo saan kaya madalas makita ang mga bagay na inyong
nakita?
Tama ang lahat ng inyong mga sinabi, ang mga bagay tulad ng upuan, libro,
kompyuter, pagkain, mga bola at lagayan ng gamot ay kadalasang nakikita
natin sa loob ng paaralan.
Ngayon ay tutungo na tayo sa ating bagong aralin, handa na ba kayo?

ating pangalawang magulang.
