EXTRA ACTIVITIES:

In case the lesson finishes before time, the teacher will give the students one (or more
if necessary) of the following activities:
1) Athlete heads: The teacher is going to invite four students to stand up in front of
the board and write the name of four famous athletes above the students head
respectively. Then, the children will ask questions to their classmates to guess
who they are. The whole class will answer yes or no. If the answer is yes that
student can continue asking, if it is no, its the turn of the others. The first one
that can guess the name of his/her, wins.
ATHLETES:
- Michael Jordan, Diego Maradona, Gabriela Sabatini, Luciana Aymar
- Novak Djiokovic, Maria Sharapova, Usain Bolt, Juan Martin Hernandez
- Carlos Tevez, Luis Scola, Federico Molinari, Jos Meolans.
2)

Accumulative sentence: The teacher or one student can start a sentence with
the word 'Yesterday', for example, or any other word. Then, a student
continues the sentence repeating what has been already said and adding one
more word. The sentences must be either in the Present Perfect or the Past
Simple. For example: TEACHER: Yesterday STUDENT 1: Yesterday I
STUDENT 2: Yesterday I saw.

3) Quick minds: The class will be divided into two groups. And two students will be
the secretaries, one for each team. The teams will choose a participant each to
start the game. These participants will stand in the front of the class and the
teacher will ask them to say as many words related to a topic as possible in 20
seconds. Each secretary will take notes of the words each player says. Once
they finish, another participant comes to the front and so on. The team that
recalls more words wins. Example of topics: Names of sports, elements of
sports, famous football teams, cities where Olympic Games have taken place.

In a particular game, there can be eight players at one time on the pitch and they last for
seventy minutes. In the total duration, six players substitute with each player. All the players
are then for the same time on the pitch including the substitutes.
Solution:
40 minutes
Explanation:
The total number of players = 8 + 6 = 14
According to the question, only eight players can be present on the field. Thus calculating
the total time:
70 * 8 = 560
We know that there are 14 players in total so dividing the total time by 14 will give us the
time spent by each player.
560/14 = 40 minutes
