HARVEST BAPTIST CHURCH PRAYER DIARY SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE TIMES 8:00, 9:00 & 11:00A.M.

MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Job 13-15; Acts 11
Monday, June 27

TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS TEACHING

Chronological Bible Reading: Job 16-18; Acts 12
Tuesday, June 28

Heb .9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but
now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Luke 16:2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee?
give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.

Fairest Lord Jesus:

Yours is a finished work of grace. Sin shuts up prayer and shuts out praise,
and every kind of spiritual experience. No wonder I see homes in shambles! The
Spirit is grieved, then quenched by sinful attitudes and comments.
When I walk contrary to you it makes you walk contrary to me. Sin puts me
out of sync with the universe. Yet you put away my sin by the sacrifice of
yourself on the cross. Oh, help __________ and __________ see that,
Jer. 31:34 I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Where sin is gone, the barrier is broken. It is not only what I do, but who I
am that is atoned for. So now I can not only be forgiven, but changed by the
infinite power of Jesus blood and my faith in it. Hallelujah for the cross!
Christians, who are like God, are not separated from God. The cross has a
vertical cross beam that dividesit divides the world from the Christian, and the
saved from the lost. But it also has a horizontal upright post that unitesit unites
the Christian to Christ, and the child of God to God. Faith in the finished work
of Christ brings both the new birth and the sanctification that follows it.
If I hate sin, strive for holiness, and work to make holiness ever more
complete in the fear of God (meaning reverence for God coupled with a hatred of
evil), then I am in fellowship with God through that cross. It is a blessed thing to
love what you love Lord, as I seek what you seek, and am in sync with your
Eternal Purpose because I am obedient to your divine commands. With such
persons you will dwell. Make me at one with the Lord Jesus today through the
operation of the cross! Remove the flesh and help me walk in the Spirit. Amen.

Holy Father and Redeemer:

I must obey you because you are coming, and after you come there is the
Judgment Seat of Christ! So I need revival before you get here. Lift me out of
my spiritual apathy and then I will be ready, because you could return at any time.
I am your steward. You are my master. You are coming to give me
accountability. Fathers of families will be called to give account. Mothers of
children will be called to give account. Singles will be called to account for
relationships, and the extra time and resources they had for ministry to others
and attention on the Lord. Workers in the workplace will be called to give
account. Young men and women will be held accountable for their strength. Old
men and women will be held accountable for the results of their longevity.
Am I clear of guilt? If you call me and say, I entrusted you with a talent,
what have you gained for me? How could I answer?
God grant me grace to order my life according to your Eternal Purpose.
But Lord I cannot do it without aid, assistance and anointing of the Holy Spirit!
Give me revival now, so when the Lord shows up I can meet him with joy.
Acts 13:36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God,
fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers,
I have a deep responsibility, yearning, and anxiety toward my own generation.
I am supposed to serve them. What is the state of my service? What is the state of
my heart? When my heart is revived my service will be right. Make my heart
sound. Make my heart perfect. Then let me show the rightness of my heart in my
words and my actions, for this is true revival! Amen.

A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING

Chronological Bible Reading: Job 22-24; Acts 14
Thursday, June 30

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow
thereby:

O SOUL, are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness you see?
Theres a light for a look at the Savior, and life more abundant and free!
Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.
Through death into life everlasting He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominionfor more than conquerors we are!
His Word shall not fail youHe promised; believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying, His perfect salvation to tell!
Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.

FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY

Chronological Bible Reading: Job 25-27; Acts 15
Friday, July 1

WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Job 19-21; Acts 13
Wednesday, June 29

Isa. 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of
holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though
fools, shall not err therein.
Almighty God and King:
There is a way to revival. Believing in Jesus and his finished work, I enter
on that way. Receiving your Spirit into my heart, I stand in that way. Following
my Redeemers footsteps, I walk in that waynot just to ask, What would Jesus
do? but to actually do what he did. Holding fast to his leadership, I followthrough to the end of discipleship. When I find Jesus, I find the way of revival.
He is not only the way, but the destination of the path. Truth, Lord!
Who could make a road around the mountain of my iniquities besides you?
Only your love would have wanted it. Only your wisdom could have devised it.
Only your power could carry it out. It cost you the best jewel in heaven, but you
emptied the treasury of your heart, because you
Rom. 8:32 spared not [your] own Son, but delivered him up for us all,
You made a firm foundation for the road by which I can have revival! Your
highway is such a masterpiece that, though I travel it every day, I still stand in awe
at its planning and construction. Truly,
Isa. 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?
I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
To leave this road for any other is to despise the wisdom and grace of God.
I do not need televangelists. I do not need to send them money. I do not need
healing meetings. I do not need to speak in tongues. I need rivers in the desert of
my heart by following the road, your road, the divine road for revival. Let me
acknowledge your Spirits presence so I can walk in his power today. Amen.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Job 28-30; Acts 16
Saturday, July 2

Job 42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends:
also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Psa. 107:2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the
hand of the enemy;

Lord God and Our Father:

What a promise! Our longest miseries have an ending point. There is a
bottom to our deepest sorrow. Winter cannot last forever! Summer eventually
smiles. Night will not hang its darkness evermore. The Son will yet arise with
healing in his wings.
Lord, you turned the captivity of Job and you can turn ours also. You can
make our fields of ministry and gospel services blossom with fruitfulness. You
can! Outreach and upreach and growth can be ours once again. How?
Intercessory prayer was a sign of Jobs return to greatness. It was like
the rainbow in the cloud and the dove that returned the olive branch to Noah.
When Jobs soul began to expand itself in holy and loving prayer for his erring
and wayward friends, your heart showed itself to him. You returned his
prosperity and cheered his soul inside.
Father it is good to remember, intercessory prayer for our community is
the sweetest prayer you hear. What wonders it has wrought both here and
abroad. Just looking in the Bible I see how it stopped plagues. It removed the
darkness from Egypt land. It stayed all the ravages of your avenging hand.
Intercessory prayer healed diseases in the early church. It even raised the dead, as
Elijah stretched himself upon a child seven times.
How many souls have been saved because of intercessory prayer? Give us
more! If there is nothing prayer cannot request because there is nothing God
cannot do, then let us become an interceding church! We have a mighty
weapon in our hand. Let us use it well, continually, and with true faith. Amen.

Mighty Redeemer and King:

My thesis should be thanksgiving, and my message should be the motives
for it. It doesnt matter what anyone else thinks or says; I have overwhelming
reasons for declaring your goodness. I have been specifically redeemed, so I
ought to deliver special praises for salvation.
Snatched from the fire by a superior power, I have good reason to adore
you, my Lord and Liberator. He hath redeemedbecause no one else could, and he
needed no help to do it. In heaven there is no sweeter hymn than,
Rev. 5:9 Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast
slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood
My Redeemer is so glorious! The ransom price was so immense. The
salvation was so complete. I am under multiple obligations to give you thanks
and encourage others to the same. Not to just feel it, but to say it.
Psa. 107:6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them
out of their distresses.
I know well how loneliness intensifies misery. The solitude of a desert has
depressing influence. When my soul is distressed I find nothing to rest on.
Sometimes, like the Israelites, I do not pray until I am in danger. But it is merciful
that I can pray then, even if I did not pray previously.
Prayers that are forced-out of me are no less acceptable than praise. If
hunger forces me to my knees, it is better than having a feast. If thirst drives me
to you, it is better than getting a drink. If weakness brings me to tears, it is better
than having strength, for deliverance follows prayer. Deliver me without delay!

HOW TO BUILD A BALANCED LIFE

THIS WEEKS EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

PRAYER DIARY

TIMEWORSHIP

Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.
2)

TITHEWORK

1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3)

TEAMWORD

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

INTERCEDE WITH GOD INSTRUCT SAINTS

PROMPT PETITIONS KICKSTART DEVOTION

INSTRUCTIONS:

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.
Alan

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
