board in a given sequence, e.g. one, three,
five, seven, nine. She points to a child. He or
She says the first word in the sequence, one.
Point to another child, and she or he says the
next numbers. It will continue while each
child saying the next word in sequence,
returning to the beginning when necessary.
Remove one flashcards each time, until
children are saying the whole sequence from
memory.
Teacher takes some coloured chalks. She
asks students to prepare their notebook and
felt tips / coloured pencils. She draws circles
and colours them with different colours. Red,
purple, green, blue, yellow, pink, orange,
white, black, grey and brown.
Under of each circle, teacher writes the name
of the colour. She walks around the class and
checks how children draw. When they have
finished, she invites them to listen to her and
repeat each word after her.
Then she takes colour chart and asks
children:
What colour is this? They try to give
correct answer. But after each child, teacher
repeats the name of the colour and asks
children to repeat after her in chorus.
She repeats this one more time. She calls up
all children in the class.
