When the time came for Moto Guzzi to do a bagger, we drew from our 90+

When the time came for Moto Guzzi to do a bagger, we drew from our 90+ years of experience to offer AMERICAN INSPIRATION with ITALIAN DESIGN and ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE. The Moto Guzzi solution was to start with the California 1400

but enhance its lines with carbon fiber

bodywork to make them longer, lower, more sinuous, sleeker and ultimately desirable. Unlike other motorcycles this was designed from the onset

to use a massive 21”, 6 spoke front wheel with carbon fiber aero fairing for better

cross-wind stability, combined with a patent pending steering damper, massive

320 mm radial mount Brembos, lightweight carbon fiber bodywork and rear shocks

with remote hydraulic preload; this lead sled from Italy loves the corners. Call it the Alpha Bagger.

It’s not just handling and design, a good Bagger is about music too. To be a leader here, the MGX-21 offers an advanced dashboard with AM/FM/Smartphone/USB Drive/SD card music inputs to keep you entertained during your trip. To better control infotainment there is a dedicated left side instrument panel display to allow full control of your tunes. These are combined with 50W speakers to share your music with the envious people who just watched you ride by.

To make all this easy to use, there are dedicated integrated controls for music volume, music track, radio frequency, audio mute, answer/end phone calls, intercom and cruise control. All of which allow you to stay connected, entertained and safe.

Lastly, the most important part of a successful Bagger is the engine. The MGX-21 has a transverse 90 degree 1,400cc V-twin with 95 HP (71 kW) @ 6,500 rpm and an impressive 89 ft-lbs (121 Nm) of torque @ 3,000 rpm tamed by ride by wire with three modes, traction control, ABS and electronic cruise control.
