Cautions for safe use

Please read the user manual before operation in order to avoid the hurt that
because of misapply and impropriety installing.
The cautions shown here are to enable you to use the welding machine safely,
to prevent any harm or injury to the person directly operating the machine and
to the people nearby.
The cautions below are categorized into two ranks, depending on the level
of the harm or injury that is predicted to occur. The warnings are displayed
with warning symbols.
*In these cases, there is a risk that a dangerous situation will arise if
DANGER the machine is handled incorrectly and the result may be death or serious injury.

Always observe the rules below in order to avoid electric shock.

Be sure to connect to ground using the ground wire on the input electrical wire.
Do not disassemble or modify this product.
Do not use electrical wires that have insucient capacity or electrical wires that have
a damaged insulating layer.
Firmly fasten the terminal screws for the electrical wires. If the fastening is insucient,
then localized heating may occur and may result in damage to the terminals or the electrical
wire. Also, insulate the connecting parts.
Perform maintenance and inspections regularly and immediately stop using the machine and
request repairs if any part is found to be damaged.
When not in use, please turn o the main breaker.
This product is designed for use indoors. Do not use it outdoors, in rain, in a wet place or in
any other place where water or oil may easily get inside the welding machine.
This may cause electric shock.

Pay attention to the ventilation of the work space in order to prevent gas poisoning and
suocation. Either use the local ventilation equipment dened in the laws and regulations
(Industrial Safety and Health Act, Ordinance on Prevention of Hazards Due to Dust), or else
use breathing apparatus.
Ensure that there is sucient ventilation when welding in a compact space.
Do not directly touch the spatter or welding base material that is hot immediately after the
welding and do not bring these close to ammable materials. This may cause burns or res.
There is a risk of explosion if arcs are generated to containers containing ammable materials
such as gasoline.
Gas pipes containing gas and sealed containers and pipes may burst if welding is performed
on them.
Ensure that the scattered spatter does not hit ammable materials by removing the ammable
materials before starting the work. If any ammable material cannot be removed, then cover
it with a reproof cover.
Do not perform welding close to ammable gas.
Connect the grounding clip as close to the point to be welded as possible.
Place a re extinguisher close to the location of the welding work in preparation for
emergencies.

CAUTION

*In these cases, there is a risk that a dangerous situation will arise if the machine
is handled incorrectly and the result may be moderate or minor injury or just damage to property.

Do not view the arc light directly. Use either light shielding goggles or a protective mask for welding.
When using the machine, install it in a stable place where there is no risk of it falling or tipping over.
Install the machine in a place where there will be no dust, waste or oil coming on it.
Do not use the electrical wire in a place where it may be trodden on by people or rolled on by carts,
etc. If use in such a place is unavoidable, then protect the electrical wire with a protector or other.
Be sure to rmly tighten the connections such as those for the input electrical wire and the output
terminals. Insucient tightening may cause connection failure and lead to heat generation.
Do not strongly pull the electrical wire. This may cause wire breakage or shorts.
Gas is generated from the welding rod during the welding work. Be sure to ventilate the area well.
The performance may fall or the product may be damaged if the voltage is low or if the voltage is high.
If the input electrical wire is to be extended, use an electrical wire with a thickness at least 3.5 mm2.
* A long extension of the input electrical wire may lead to a fall in the voltage and cause failure of the equipment.

Placement of the welding machine and cautions for use

Location for welding machine placement
Place the machine indoors in a location where there is not much moisture or dust. Also,
place the machine where it will not be exposed to direct sunlight or rain and the
temperature will remain within the usage environment temperature range.
There are cooling fans on the back and the sides of the welding machine, so place it in a
location where there is good ventilation.

Equipment capacity, etc

If an engine generator will be used, use one that has at least twice the rated input

capacity for welding machines (KVA).

Install input circuit breakers for welding machines so that there is one circuit breaker

for each separate welding machine.

If an earth leakage breaker will be used, then select one for use with inverters.

Specications and connection methods.

Incorrect connection methods may cause electric shock accidents or failure of the product.
