Greetings!
I am Felyn Mae G. Yap. I am writing to express my intention of applying for the
position of an instructor in your school. Last April 2011, I graduated from the University
of the Philippines Visayas Miag-ao campus, earning the degree of BA LiteraturePsychology. Literature as my first major sharpened my research skills. Aside from that, I
had learned how to see life through literary texts. This had definitely molded me to
appreciate life at its fullest. The same idea I would like to inculcate to the minds of my
students if given a chance by this respectable university. Psychology as my second major
had helped me developed my hosting and facilitating of events skills as well as enhancing
my interpersonal skills when dealing with people.
I am fluent in speaking and writing in English and Filipino. I am a competent
writer of articles, essays, and research papers. I am also well-informed in the use of
Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft packages. All this and my
enthusiasm for new experiences are what I am hoping to contribute to your school.
Integrity, honor and excellence are among those lineaments that UP had furnished
to its students and I will uphold these qualities. I humbly ask for the opportunity to impart
what I learn and to be a part of this premier institution that caters and helps cultivate
learning.
